mushrooms found in mulch?
    #14529692 - 05/29/11 07:27 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

it is in the mulch in my front yard growing in large tight clusters of about 10-15, there is about 6 of these clusters.

Gills:
white, spead apart, has a white spore print.

Stem:
the stem is white an fibrous, in like strands.it doesn't bruise any color.its very thin an about an inche tall.

Cap:
the smaller mushrooms have a ring around the edge that is brownish but as they mature they become more white with a little faint ring, the smaller ones also have a more profound nipple, as they mature the nipple is still noticeable but not as much.

I kinda makes me wanna think its a Panaeolus subbalteatus but i'm not sure.i would get a picture but i can't at the moment i will soon though.

with a white spore-print, there are many things it could be, but P. cinctulus ain't one of those things, they have black spore prints. Mycena or gymnopus are more likely
