Will dancing at memorials be legalized in our lifetime? 1

This bugs me. There are rules about maintaining an atmosphere of solemn observance at these memorials. But I'm going to have to say first amendment trumps that. No victim, no crime.

That cop is so ignorant. he cant even tell them what law theyre breaking! Thats why only idiots who barely passed highschool become cops, cuz theyre the only morons who would enforce ANY law, and like to throw non violent people to the ground. Those are the kind of guys who get off on inflicting violence on innocent people.
Cops are paid bullies. Nothing more.

huh, weird. many cultures throughout history have considered it improper to be solemn at these types of things and would encourage dancing- so...isn't it kind of prejudiced and unrealistic to ban it altogether?
thats how the world seems to be today though, and not only in the US, but in many countries that tout 'liberty' it is still a tightly controlled culture that punishes those who are taboo in some way even as they continually speak of equality and freedom
such hypocrisy

I'd have to say so to. This is clearly free and peaceful expression.

pris has a point. Also, it's a major security risk guys. Come on. Their job is to keep others safe, if you guys wanna run around dancing and causing confusion that was unexpected at a possible terror spot, they're gonna enforce their jobs. He tried to give a warning.

Assuming they were vocally protesting before the video starts. How is slow dancing a protest, they're a group that share belief systems and dance in their collective mourning like people have done for thousands of years?

The hulk bit, really? Their job involves having people fuck with them, wouldn't you wanna be built? I'm equally as built as most cops I know, it's not that difficult to achieve.
And yes, if it is protesting a monument that has that many people for security, you need a fucking permit. He tried to warn them, they didn't listen.

I think this was a protest. There was a case in 2008 that was closer to what you describe. I think this was in response to a decision in that case. I might be wrong, I've only done a bit of reading on this so far. And indeed, permits are required for protests in DC parks.
On a human level though, the optics of this are terrible. Because when you get right down to it, people are being roughed up for dancing. And I don't think that this could reasonably be seen as any legitimate threat to safety. Police takedowns do more to hinder the public's enjoyment of the monument than some folks dancing.
A lot of harmless people feel less safe upon seeing a police car these days. That's a problem.
Edit: bbl, do you know where that skiing ostrich came from? That's fantastic.

Okay the cop says if you dance in here youre protesting. So, no matter why you might be dancing he is going to interpret your dancing as a protest, no matter the context or reason for it, you will be arrested because for some reason, as soon as you step into the memorial dancing gets you body slammed, dryhumped, and arrested by Nazi douchebags. I really hate his attempt of compliance thru fear by telling them they'll be in jail for a weekend if theyre from out of town. Im interested in hearing more about this...anyone know anything more?

dance ins are the latest craze, when a dozen or so people strut into places and start dancing it's a good indicator that you have one happening in your midst, just because you didt see what happened before the cop walked over doesnt mean they werent already becoming obnoxious
it's not like these jackasses are completely unknown either

no, they were given a warning and they resisted, resist and you get body slammed, the first couple and several others simply were handcuffed, it's fine if you wanna hype it up like it was something it wasnt though, the video shows the truth
