Can anyone tell me if these are the kind of location they would hunt in?
I was hunting next to a fresh water river and there were ferns and mulch everywhere. Mulch is wet, however only found inactives and galerinas.

HAHAA! I'm evil! I found 4 new spots today! All i did was drive around the mountains looking for P plate cars, hippies or people with paper bags in hand... I think i'm going to do this more often! Then try beat them to their own spots after it rains. Sure does beat walking around and looking for more of my own places

Hello all, I'm a new member and seeker.
I found these fellas today, I need an ID. I followed some advice and went after the rain to a park where the garden beds are all woodchip and leaves are. There was a drain/creek right near the park also. This is NSW Newcastle city area.

some of those look like psilocybe subaeruginosa (magic ones).
But i cannot be sure with the photos.
Go back and pick some then take photos of the stem, cap, sporprint, etc. Also, the magic ones will turn blue if you scweeze or bruise the stems.
Im sure you have psilocybe subaeruginosa in the first photo

Here's the haul - I realise now these aren't the same strains of mushroom. I reallly have no idea what they are. I squeeze the stem of the brighter caped shrooms and they don't blue or purple, The tanned caps do bruise a little bit, I wouldn't call it bluing.

What do you think of the pale/tan caps in the haulage photo, they grew around the pine needles.

na they arnt subs either, sorry.
Have a good look through them all, You *might* have a sub or two. maybe.
Take a good look on google images. Search: psilocybe subaeruginosa
look at the details, the stems, caps, and the whole mushrroom. You'll see alot of difference between yours and them. Keep note on the details.
Hope i helped
Oh and it looks like you have at least 4 or more differnt mushrooms in the haul photo. Did you pick the mushrooms in the very first photo you posted? They are your best chance.

We have quite a few variety of deer that live in the wild as an introduced species in Australia.
They are hard to find as they have good hearing and sent - you would be more likely to see them in the rain as this keeps noise and sent to a minimum.

Found the subs days ago from under the pine trees it was all shade and there is creek next to them subs patch was on the hill, there is so much pine needles saw like hundreds of pins popping everywhere but no woodchips it's weird :/ but i'm not picking pins waiting for next rain i'm sure it is subs bruises blue when picked.
Come on I want some decent rain so the pins will go mature can't wait Sorry for bad pics camera doesnt seem to work properly will need to find other camera for my next hunt. Happy mushroom guys!
