Seriously, why did they have to call it the Anus Plant. The monstrose Bridgessii known as the Penis Plant; fair enough, but this?

My Matucana madisoniorum. As you can see the poor girl suffered for the last 2 years, she really wanted to grow but I couldn't provide enough light for proper development. This year however she got all the light she needed and grow wonderfully! And at the end of summer started to throw flower buds like crazy! There were 8 at the last count! Can anyone give me any advice on what to do? Should I try to provide the light and make the flowers bloom? If I don't, will they survive until spring? I have another M. madisoniorum with a bud and was thinking of pollinating with it.

Nope. It's a fairly dehydrated T. pachanoi "PC".

I picked this guy up at a nursery and they said he had been sitting there for 8 years in a 6 inch pot. It's a larger cactus poor guy. Any ID on it would be great.

i'm pretty sure thats a saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) I've got a few that size my self. I hope the guy who owned it marked which way faced north. If you transplant them and turn them they will start to twist as they grow back to the way they were originally facing.
-------------------- Vegetation has crawled for miles towards the cities. It is waiting. Once the city is dead, the vegetation will cover it, will climb over the stones, grip them, search them, make them burst with its long black pincers; it will blind the holes and let its green paws hang over everything. —Jean-Paul Sartre, Nausea

I am so blessed that's a saguaro!! It was not marked as it was on the top shelf of a huge cactus greenhouse massive greenhouse. She said it was moved often. I transplanted it already into the pot it's in in the picture. Thank you and light! LE
