alrite i have a texan cubensis box growing witch has just recently started to produce hyphal knots . its my first grow so im happy so far. from the research i have done i have learnt that the texan type od cubenses holds less water than typical cubes . i wanted to know if anyone had any idea what the percentage of water to mushroom would be in this particular type of cube knowing the usual is 90% water??

also i wanted to know if this would meen that knowing there is less water held in the mushroom would that have an effect on the amount of psilocybin and psilocin in the mushroom per gram compared to other cubes??.. i know potency varys from batch to back but just generally speaking

cant find too much extensive info on the texas cubensis im assumin thats becaus of most peoples view that cubes are cubes just wondering if anyone could help me out any opinions will be appreciated..

There's only two types of cubes:  Penis Envy, and not Penis Envy

All cubes grown in the same environment will be 90% water, +/- about 5%.  The active chemicals are mostly controlled by genetics, and if you're not starting from an isolate, there's no way to guess the levels that any given fruit will produce.  The fruits stop producing the active chemicals when the veil breaks and the spores drop.  Once that happens, the fruit may continue to grow but will not produce more chemicals.

Texas is known for big dense fruits. They can take a while to grow. They are interesting. But yeah, they are just cubes.

Vendor hype is difficult for a newb to swim through.

Good luck though. If they grow they will make you trip.

I am getting a 10 cc spore syringes of Psilocybe cubensis F+ Spores The Florida White Strain which is from Lil' Shop of Spores.... all i know about them is what Lil' Shop of Spores says about them which is: "Originating in Florida the F+ is prized for it's vivid visuals. Producing medium sized fruits that come flush after flush the F+ is an excellent addition to your spore collection. The F+ fruits are very dense much like the Texas strain. A noticable trait of the F+ is the very light, almost white color of the caps upon maturity."
I was hoping someone might be able to either give me more info on these or direct me to some more info, i have googled with not much luck, matbe i am googleing wrong lol...
Also any advice on some good ways to get these going would be appreciated as well.
I have little experience and have worked with cyans with good results but have not worked with cubes at all, only outside grow with my cyans... been wanting to do an inside grow with cubes and went with these cubes only because i was born in Florida.
Thanks in advance for any and all help, advice, info and direction. I greatly appreciate it.

Search for Let's Grow Mushrooms on YouTube. Great place to start. Then buy the DVD if you like what you see. Ask questions in the Cultivation Forum here after doing a bit of research and you will be on your way. Good luck.

Like these?  Those are wild Florida specimens for which Bloodworm sent me prints to cultivate from.  Could it be a Florida thing??

Lol, I'll take a picture upcoming season, though I believe they're just mushrooms that have been sporalated on..it's a pretty effect though it's a lavender purple with a darker circle where the top is. I've seen some with some incredible purple veils though. Point being there are a lot of different varieties in the wild.

lol i dont live in the jungle that sounds right for inside the chamber. last grow i think the RH was 50% but i had slim idk need some king of info half of them ant pined yet and some done did there first flush

rh was %50...?

I can't believe you were able to grow anything. Get yourself a spray bottle and a small humidifer from the local thrift store/flee market. Set the humidifyer up in your grow room and keep it filled and on all the time.

Spray your FC as needed to keep Rh 95%+

Good luck man
