hey guys. i think i might be looking to move away from ksss considering while all my goes with it up to this point have been amazing, and i've done quite a bit... the last tries ive done have yielded sub par results. i realize that doing MS on grain is a crapshot mostly any way, but i'm kind of wondering now if there aren't any strains out there that seem to do well with ms and push out good results with a couple flushes. thoughts?

As a fellow zelda avatar, I'd say AA+ gives very consistent results. I haven't really been able to get bad MS results with it, nor have I ever seen any bad results with it.

ah, looks like you've been around for a minute too. do you typically work with monotubs? how many quarts of ms do you use per tub?

5 or 6 to a 66qt is usually good. I do a lot of minis too that take one or two quarts apiece.

the first flushes of this KSSS have been super small. like 2 inch but fat fruits and tons of aborts this round. i'm used to seeing mid sized fruits, and lots of them on the first flush, and by the second flush gynormous fruits. my record was this past spring at a whopping 8.2 g. some of them have tall with massive stypes

I'd rather live up where there's a bunch of woodlovers and shit outside. Wild cubes are kinda boring around here. They're all pretty pale capped.

I just need to come across a big field of them then, I've only seen small patches and they were exciting but... not that interesting otherwise.

Isnt the use of peat moss bad for the environment? Just asking really. Have heard that. And that it is finite

yea it is not a sustainable material. apparently takes many years to build back up if u have a link about it that seems pretty unbiased, post it, and i will add it to the casing TEK.
