That's about it. They like a heat/light cycle, fresh air when fruiting, colonizing a slightly dry yet moist substrate to colonize... just like other cubes.

Could ypu tell me about psilocybe cyanfriscosis? Are these the wood loveing with a need for outdoor cultivation? I have to admit you have me curious. I have not run across this species available in spoor form(or any form for that matter) but i would love to give it a try!. Again, i want to thank everyone for thier advice. I have been growing cubes for a few months, and am just trying to expand my horizons. I have found this site invaluable to me. Most people are bot just tolerant of noobs, but are willing to lend advice without a moment's hessitation. Good people on this site! I am very happy to have stumbled across this site

I'd assume they are similar to P. cyan and azures.
I have heard of people using a fridge to cold shock, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble outside of a novelty grow. You could use grain/wood/LC to inoculate an outdoor patch - as long as you're not in a tropical region. Because any print you receive/take is probably going to be taken from a wild mushroom, you'll probably need to clean it up with agar.

I've seen THESE in DE but can't seem to find others anyone know of any east coast strains to look for? (season, pics, info, spore prints) I am able to travel if there's a better region to look.

No worries.
Did you test your hygrometer? They can be flaky.
Wrap it in a moist/warm towel for 20 mins and then see what it says. (if it is analog!)
Good luck,
JD

Hey peeps. I have a question for ya. I currently have a few strains and have been really excited about learning and performing mycology. Eating fruit that you spent so much time and energy into makes them taste that much better. My wife has had bad experiences with fungus do to crazy ex boyfriends and asshole friends which left her not liking fungus at all. After watching me and hearing about all the different stuff I've learned about its sparked an interest in trying them again. what sparked it was me telling her that not all fungus has the same effects from eating and that some strains can be pretty mellow if your not looking to trip face and fall off the planet. Now here comes the question lol. I have Red Boy (Red Spore), Pink Buffalo, Ecuador, Guadalajara, Brazil, B+ and South African Transkei. Which strain is more likely to be the more mellow? I listed the SAT last because i know its pretty potent. I Would really like to eat them with her and just want her to enjoy herself but if shes not having fun i don't blame her for not eating them. Don't know if it helps but I'm using PF TEK and a fruiting chamber out of a tote with hydroton and bubble curtains. To dry I use the large buckets of damp rid, the ones for boats and campers and just open it and lay them on the fabric filter and close the lid on them with a weight on the lid. it seals nicely and is cracker dry in 2.5 days. thanks for the help.

People will tell you that a cube is a cube, and they are right, but I want to say Brazil just because it is fairly standard.
Make a tea. That will help alot with the stomach issues.
Use five grams dry to make four cups of tea. One cup will be a nice start and the second if things go well. ;0)
This is just my $0.02. These things are so subjective.
Take care,
JD

ime, under 2g is always mellow and chill.
If you're worried about it getting on top of you, so to speak, take some ginkgo biloba.

I just make a point of warning people about PE.
Similar mistake have been made when people try new species that are just much stronger than normal cubes. I recall The Chosen One warning about Semperviva. (wow!) I have never eaten carmel caps, and will certainly be careful when I do.
The Ginko idea in intriguing. Can you elaborate, or post a link?
Thanks for taking the time,
JD

Keep in mind that this is only from my personal experiences. Ginkgo is one of my all-time favorite herbs, right above coffee. It's kind of funny because as I learn more about herbs and mushrooms, coffee gets pushed further and further down that list =P
Ginkgo is a good synergy with just about anything. It's one of the best for cannabis. It also contains a compound which inhibits the metabolites of THC. I like to call ginkgo + pot "sativa++"
Ginkgo + alcohol is also very good. The combination would be similar to any of the Egyptian wines, because they would often use the wine to make an extract. For example, blue lotus wine. Ginkgo definitely lets you still get drunk, but there is a sense of clarity. You can drink more than you normally do, and manage to be cool as a fucking cucumber. You just gotta try it to understand. So long as you're idea of getting drunk isn't drinking a couple liters of vodka, you won't loose yourself, yell, get stupid, or "become someone else". I remember a scene where my sister's now ex-boyfriend was drunk, locked out of the house, and shouting "You fuckin bitch, give me my god damn keys!!" - Ginkgo Biloba is 100% anti whatever the hell that stuff is. lol.
Ginkgo + caffeine will get rid of the jitters. I find I can focus a lot better too. I still would prefer ginseng or a polypore tea over caffeine/coffee if I need to do any real work.
Ginkgo will take the edge and anticipation off of psychedelics. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a drug that is "visionary" for me outside of tranquilizers. It seems like the screen just goes black when I take a massive dose. But I've had some good combos with ginkgo. Once I had a bottle of wine, ginkgo, a couple hits of middle-quality bud, and 6+ bowls of 40x salvia. Not sure that would have been possible otherwise. I was able to enjoy it all, feel no pressure, and pack one bowl of salvia after the other. Again, I haven't found anything that's visionary for me, so I can't talk about all aspects of it. But I figure if it can keep salvia chill, it should be able to take the edge off of mushrooms.
I think people usually make the mistake of not eating enough. If it's dry powder, I take a tablespoon full. If it's fresh leaves, I take a large fist full. If it's a standardized extract, I take 60-300mg. There is a crash, because it's a blood thinner. The solution is to taper off. It's not harmful, it's just your body got used to a different equilibrium and is in the process of compensating. You could take it every day and be fine. Commercial ginkgo teas are nice for that because you can re-use the bag and it will naturally taper off. chewing it in a quid is the fastest way to get it in your system, and doesn't Denature anything like tea or extraction.
You can order ginkgo for about $1-2 an oz online. I've found ginkgo trees all over in cities. Bellingham, seattle, olympia, portland... Just look around. You can take cuttings of it too. There are toxins in the seeds, but you'll probably only find the male trees. A standardized extract will be much more potent than fresh or powdered, and will also test for the levels of toxins. You can buy those in the grocery store for $5. I'd be up for trading edibles for a few oz of my local organic ginkgo too
Hehehe, how's that for a sales pitch?

Woohoo!! Another successful conversion xD
I've heard other users describe similar benefits from taking other "smart drugs" as well, so ginkgo probably isn't the only thing that will do this stuff. I think the main one was "Piracetam"

Yeah, I need to come up with some disorder that might provide such stuff.
I had access to a Xanex for one trip. It helped me relax (it was a "heroic dose" ;0)
