just curious if this mushroom i found was pyachoactive. It bruises relatively easily and the bruise is purple which i know is a good sign, there really arent any gills but it is red under the cap. I found it in some mulch

lol why do people come in here with ID requests? Try asking here. Also try and get a pic up. Most people wouldn't trust a file like that.

KSSS can produce some really fat, squat, unusual looking shrooms. It can also produce normal looking shrooms. I've seen PE done on cakes, but it does better in a monotub. Save yourself some hassle and spawn your cakes to coir/verm in a mini mono instead of fruiting them in a sgfc. Just put your cakes in a blender or use a cheese grater. If you go the blender route, slice the cakes up and gradually add water until the cake slurry is the consistency of oatmeal, and make your coir a bit on the dry side.

ok thanks that clears it up, i usually just use grains for my monos, the cakes seem so efficent i dont bother the extra step to bulk.

Spawning cakes to bulk in mini monos is easier than a SGFC IMO. Much less maintenance. Plus, if you go the slurry route your bulk will colonize in 3 days. The problem with PE is that it takes fucking forever to pin, and cakes in a sgfc are much more vulnerable during that 2 weeks it takes to pin than a monotub would be. If you want a dick that fruits fast, go with PEU. Every time I've grown PEU I've gotten a flush harvested in less time than it takes to even start seeing PE pins.

Coffee grinder is too small and isn't meant for liquids. Dude, spend 30 bucks on a cheap oster blender. Great tool for this hobby once you start messing with LI and LC. I don't dunk the cakes since I add water to them when I put them in the blender.

Quick question to anyone out there with Red Boy (RedBoy)
What do your prints look like? I've been seeing lots rusty orange-brown prints, but I have heard that they put out more of a dark red mauve print. I'm wondering if this is a rustspore mutation of red boy or if that's just how it looks. Pretty certain it's redboy not CRS or PFRS.
Trying to honor RR's legacy with this variety by only viewing RB prints of the appropriate colour. Whenever I see a purple-brown RB print, I squeeze my eyes shut really hard.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Does it matter much that after PC'ing my WBS jars that there is some condensation inside? Worried that the jars are too wet...
Lid has a hole drilled with some poly-fill as a filter for some fresh air exchange. Shall that be enough?

As long as you let the outside of your grain dry adequately, you'll never have a moisture problem in your spawn jars. Patience is key to success in this hobby.

I used to really like running naked coir bricks in the SGFC, its more work yeah, but the mushies totally love it. Just replenish their water often. Great for people who wanna do bulk but dont know anything about monos or dubtubs. Thats how i progressed. PF tek > SGFC bricks (like in bodhisatta) > Monotub
