Stonesun has some good stuff in his journal regarding yeilds.
And read through the 84 page "Easier Than Cubes!!!" thread on stones as well. Unless you have already - could swear somebody discussed the different strains at least once or twice.

I'm asking, "what's your top favorite psychoactive cubensis varieties you enjoy to ingest?"
Usually whatever I'm growing currently. Uhm, obviously. But my TOP favorite is stuff I don't have working cultures for anymore, only spores - and it's not cubes either.
The MOST PSYCHEDELIC and overall trippiest cubes I've grown in recent times were these dwarf KSSS:

Small but mighty. Lost that culture and haven't got it back yet.

I have started to work through the first 20 or-so pages, and the information was very limited. Mainly Cervantes saying that Mex A gives a cleaner trip and ATL7 gives a more intense but less controllable trip.

ALT#7 is the easiest for stones/fruits.
Imho, potency doesn't matter. A solid trip for me would be about 8-10g of cubes, so a miss is as good as mile if I screw up the dose. I always end up "trouble-shooting" during the trip. Salvia is my drug of choice for increasing intensity.

You should. I never ate or cultivated cubes - why should I? My Mex A sclerotia are growing happily without much effort, and the trip is wonderful.

Thanks! New info! . Maybe I'll grow ATL7 next. Though it's soo easy with sclerotia to stick with one kind, cause you just do G2G with the colonized grain that remains from the jars, and immediately use the jars to start the next batch

No one answered. I was also very curious about this strain. I actually have a couple bags colonizing now, they seem to be relatively fast colonizers.
Anyways I wasn't really wondering much about the cube itself but rather it's history? I have looked all over and just can't seem to find much and am wondering if anyone has any info?
Reason I ask is because I really like to know the background of what I am harvesting. May sound strange but to me, there is a special bond between grower and grown. I also really enjoy the country of Peru and have enjoyed learning a lot about the ancient Inca cultures that inhabit the area.
If anyone has any background info on the strain I would be really grateful if you'd share!

Does anyone here know anything about the cubensis from Peru?

So when you do a g2g transfer on these i just discovered sclerotia, it has to be sterile conditions correct? Also if your doing grain are the grains inside the sclerotia? And are they tough to eat? I like the idea of having the Sclerotia to myself and sharing caps. What do they taste like?

F64 said: Hey Guys, I'm trying to decide which sclerotia strain to grow next. I started with Mex A (first time growing anything) and it grew OK but it's not very potent. How does it compare, in terms of potency, speed and yield, with other sclerotia growing fungi?
As far as I know, these are the available species:
Psilocybe galindoi, A.K.A. Atlanta #7 (ATL#7) Psilocybe mexicana, strain "A" strain "B" strain "Jalisco" Psilocybe tampanensis Psilocibe Atlantis
I think I heard somewhere that tampenesis is fairly strong. But stronger than ATL#7 and Mex Jalisco? I've never heard about Atlantis.
Thanks for some help F64
Potency and sclerotia are a mixed bag.
IMO, bulk is more important than potency when it comes to sclerotia.
Dry sclerotia is less potent than dry cubensis... but you get a fuck-tonn of it.
I just eyeball my doses anymore with cubes or stones.
IMO, Atl 7 is more potent than Mex A. But both make you trip and both yield bulk.
I like the Mex A trip because it is great for thinking and talking.
I like Atl 7 when I want to be floored and see visuals.
Neither is better or worse in my eyes. I trip harder on Atl and I trip farther on Mex. I have control on Mex.
Your results may vary.

How big was the largest mushroom?
Mine would be BHT, at 56.4 grams wet. But it looks like the OI will be pretty good.

There are other factors that play into that... not just the genetics. Fruiting conditions and substrate recipes (availability of nutes)

from sporeworks
also, my friend was telling me that there is a type of psylocybin mushroom that is greenish blue and is suppose to be ultra potent and its spores are super hard to find, is this true or is this just trickery?
