There are certain strains that look different than most cubes. Also most ppl that agree that a cube is a cube also realize PE is the exception to that ruls. There are other strains that have difference's. Albino's, redspores, and of course PE

They are still secondary decomposes, like poop, like the same amount of humidity, like the same amount or FAE, water, casing, taste nauseating, etc. A person is a person too, unless you want to split hairs. I'd like to see what it looks like when the Elephant Man strain mix with the Brook Shields strain, but you're still going to get a human out of the deal.

Simple question I couldn't find an answer to: Planning on doing a 12 (half quart jar) WBS jar inoculation. Going to turn that into 1 monotub. Using 2 different syringes to 'noc up the 12 (1 syringe for each set of 6 jars). Is it a big deal if I use two different MS syringes of the same strain from the same vendor and later mix the spawn before spawning to bulk? Guessing nbd, but curious.

A friend of a friend is in possession of two fully colonized and already fruiting cakes of the "white lightning" strain. Now, the friend of a friend is completely new to mushroom cultivation - he bought 2 jars with already colonized and consolidated substrate and just had to place them in a FC and wait. What interest him most is the strain itself, and he couldn't find any information whatsoever on it, save for a thread over on Mycotopia which doesn't really say much anyway. So, my friend asked me to ask you if anybody knows anything about WL, what is its Latin name, relative potency, etc?

Google is your friend... sadly, too cold and mountainous for cubes. Other fungus... I don't know. I don't have google. Indoor cultivation works anywhere with climate control.
If anything does grow there it probably harvests in the early autumn, and I suspect it likes wood.
You get fungus there?

Pans do like a manure based substrate.
I tried putting some poo into a set of cakes with the other ingredients. I plan on fruiting them as cakes.
[and I can report that BRFP cake do colonize nicely]
Good luck,
J

Hey Guys, I'm trying to decide which sclerotia strain to grow next. I started with Mex A (first time growing anything) and it grew OK but it's not very potent. How does it compare, in terms of potency, speed and yield, with other sclerotia growing fungi?
As far as I know, these are the available species:
Psilocybe galindoi, A.K.A. Atlanta #7 (ATL#7) Psilocybe mexicana, strain "A" strain "B" strain "Jalisco" Psilocybe tampanensis Psilocibe Atlantis
I think I heard somewhere that tampenesis is fairly strong. But stronger than ATL#7 and Mex Jalisco? I've never heard about Atlantis.
Thanks for some help F64
