A cube is a cube, except when it isn't, but even then it still is.
What I mean by that is cubes are going to take between x and z time to grow. They're going to be between x and z size. They're going to display a lot of micro and macroscopic cube characteristics.
You'll usually see "a cube is a cube" used to answer noobish questions like, "what strain is fastest/most potent/has biggest fruits." It is a good answer for those types of questions, and the people asking them.
There are subtle variations in cubensis the same as in humanity. However, just like a human is a human, a cube is a cube.

My question had nothing to do with the cube is a cube debate, I wasnt involved in that mess...lol

If you were born in puerto rico it might be cool to grow a strain collected from that region. That's how I look at it personally, the novelty of the region. I could give a shit less about Texas, in fact I disliked the time I spent there. I wouldn't want to grow a cube that constantly reminded me of a place I don't like. Growing a Colombian strain on the other hand would interest me, like PE.
Most of the strains truly are indifferntiable. Although there are exceptions like the albinos, ksss, the PEs, the rust spore, etc.
I just grow what interests me.

I suggest growing any cubensis... but stop wasting time and get to the PE. Clone and isolate for yield and proceed to get expanded.
Don't forget your seatbelt.

I hear the albino strain is difficult to grow, what about the regular penis envy?
APE(albino penis envy) and PEU(penis envy uncut) are more prone to aborting than classic penis envy. Both APE and PEU are penis envy classic crossed with PF albino. Don't get me wrong, all 3 are great strains, but PE is easier to grow and yields more. It's the more potent of the 3, generally, as well. The only downside to PE classic is it throws out mutants/balls on first flush while APE and PEU don't usually.
It just seems like the more domesticated a strain is, the "better" the fruits it produces. But I always see plenty of mutants no matter what. Like two stems, one cap, for example. That's not a bad thing. I see less of that with strains that have been around longer. Like, A strain (old) and dancing tiger (only about 8 years old total from what I've read), the DT looks much weirder under the same conditions, less shapely fruit, and less proficient.but I think any sure that is bred continuously is going to grow more easily under usual cube conditions
