Okay, so I purchased Amazon from FungiMushrooms (http://funguymushroomspores.myshopify.com/collections/spore-syringes/products/amazon)and was recently looking through the Strain guide. I noticed that there is a Amazonian, and a PESA, but no Amazon. The description of PESA says AKA Amazon. So, my question is, is the Amazon I purchased from FungiMushroom Amazonian, PESA, or a different strain called Amazon. I swear I tried the search function and was unsuccessful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know it's not overly important as "a cube is a cube", but I would like to make sure I am labeling prints and sending off into the community correctly. Cheers.

No one asked me for my opinion, but I have never been one to hold back. As a noob myself, I can honestly say unless the information is outlined in an easy to read, easy to find manner, then how do you expect us noobs to find out this information. Of course we are going to come into here and ask the same bloody stupid questions over and over again, because everyone will be interested in finding out that info as they get going. Problem is, is that Shroomery is a labyrinth of information, with probably fifty posts all saying a slightly different variant of the next, or even contradictory information. Yes, it is getting better, even since I came here, but still very difficult. You say "use the search function" okay, but since I don't overly know what I am talking about I got 50,000 posts in the results, most of which are 5 years old, outdated, or irrelevant. So instead of spending your time complaining about stupid questions, spend it cleaning the forums up or adding to the information sections and FAQs. Please don't get me wrong, I understand the frustrations, I do, and I love the Shroomery and the idea behind it, but attitudes like this push people away instead of bringing them in. Also, while I agree a cube is a cube, having the different strains/races/whatever makes it exciting and fun to try something different for noobs and helps bring people in. Also one could argue a Lager is a Lager and an Ale is an Ale, while that's a little like comparing Apples to Oranges, you cannot disagree that B+ tends to do this, while Cambo tends to do that. Cheers.

I also admit to letting out a negative rant. You have a lot of patience, which most of us noobs haven't learnt yet. Sadly the internet has trained us to expect instant gratification which is not a good thing when it comes to this hobby *steps off soap box and heads back to the short bus*

Cervantes, I'll try to avoid asking you to type out 3 years of work, but I do have one question for you based on your above post. Based on your research, would your recommendation to any new grower be find a reliable source, buy the cheapest print/syringe and never look back? Or is there any clout to small differences in characteristics like speed vs output etc? Talking strictly cubes here of course.

PE is a very popular cube, but also has it's "infamous" sterility or poor spore production which might make it tough on a newbie trying to get going. I have never had the pleasure of growing it myself (please someone send me a print, kidding), so please take my comments with a grain of I have no idea what I am talking about :-). I noticed you said:
Quote:
Cervantes said: Not a fast grower, but mycologists are patient folks.
I don't want to ask too much, but does that mean you agree that some "strains/races" tend to be faster than others or am I reading too much into your statements? :-)

The only cube that has been generally accepted as being more potent is PE (Penis Envy any variant), all the rest will be generally the same without isolating. As far as easy for a beginner to grow, just go with any classic cube (B+, GT, Cambodian, PF Classic, etc). Experts correct me if I am wrong.

Another note would be to maybe disregard my comments and go with something different, especially if you are planning on getting into the Shroomery marketplace and trading spores. People tend to not like/want the classics as just about everyone already has them. Best of luck dude.

I can't say I have tried lots of "strains" just GT, B+, and Cambo, but what I can say is I have had completely different trips from the same "strain", grow, and even flush, including grinding into powder and capping them. It is all about how much you take and the whole Set and Setting. Cheers.

I hate to take this even further off topic... but I am a lazy idiot and was wondering if anyone has a link to someone describing (in a fair bit of noob detail) of how to get spores from PE...
PS feel free to ignore this or tell me to Use the F'ing Search Function :-)
