I wouldn't waste that much money on it. There are plenty of other psychedelics out there that would do the trick. The power is not that much in the plant but in the person. After 100s of trips on many substances I'm fairly convinced.

No disputing that.
As for the other stuff this is what I was talking about-
Quote:
it has allowed me to take this newly found or awakened energy and do the things I want to do without feeling like I'm doing it for nothing. This allows me to accomplish tasks at much greater ease, because I can focus on one thing, complete it, and feel good about it, and move on to the next thing. I've been busier than I ever have in my life, with new work related projects coming into mind, and taking the action necessary to complete those projects. And it's really working, and I'm seeing the rewards already. I feel more of a desire to connect and make business relationships, which is what I struggled with in the past.
That's not the deranger I'm used to reading is all I'm saying.

Have you hit up ibogain yet Ice?
From what I know it the way it works is fundamentally different from the usual suspects...like salvia...so maybe it is unique.
Hear ya though...

I need to do some research and figure the average alkaloid content. Those extractions are pretty expensive if it's feasible to do it yourself.

Grapefruit said: Soooooo jealous! Glad you had a great time, I really want to try this stuff at some point. I've heard it's a little dangerous for some due to allergy, did you allergy test first? What's you opinion on the dangers? What's a break through kinda dose?
There's a few medical check ups you're supposed to get, but I took a chance and didn't. There's lots of info on the eboka.info forums. I don't have an opinion on the dangers, though it feels very safe for me. It depends on the individuals health, how well they can deal with panic if it arises, their biology, etc. There's no definite answer on what a breakthrough dose is. Some are very sensitive to Ibogaine, and breakthrough at a very low dose, while for some it takes a much higher dose. My advice is to start off small, get a feel for it, get an estimate as to what a good breakthrough dose would be.
Quote:
Also did you experience any physical discomfort in terms of muscle tension or nerve pain etc? I can have a real problem with this when I start dosing really high with things like 2c-e so it's always a concern for me.
I know what you mean about the discomfort on high dose 2c-e trips.
There is physical and mental discomfort but it feels totally natural, after you ride out the first wave. No nerve tension at all from what I can remember.
This was the TA extract though, I've still got 25g of Iboga bark to test out. This bark is different though, and Maya no longer carries it. Supposedly it grows on rock and is the most potent form. It might be a completely different ride than other varieties of bark.

Cheers for the excellent advice, I figure I'll probably get me some soonish. As for starting off small and working your way up with something of that price I don't think so.

Yeah I always like to plunge right in first time. After all you only get one first time right?

Sounds like in the 60's you couldn't do anything other than plunge right in the first time with the LSD around. I'd love to try that stuff. Only had real LSD 4 times and never had a full high dose experience on it despite taking 3 and a half hits one time.

I had six hits of sugar cube slipped into a coke and given to me by a "friend". I didn't trip for two years after that but consider it one of my best trips in retrospect. I was very high.

I'm not a big fan of taking huge doses of psychedelics..too scary.

Yeah it's totally fun, especially on stimulants like speed/coke/ecstasy.
