Is Austin Stevens the next Steve Irwin?
    #14523076 - 05/27/11 07:55 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

In the grand tradition of dying at the hands of animals that you are studying, is naturalist Austin Stevens ('In Search of the King Cobra') bound to be another victim? I am giving 2 to 1 odds.

Stevens: "You might think I am crazy for petting the head of a wild, 14 foot king cobra, but it is something that I have always wanted to do."

I have aways wanted to put my hand in a spinning airplane propeller, but somehow I have managed to resist.

Dying doing whatever it is that turns you on the most even if very dangerous  is beyond the ken of most of us humans. Why do you keep focusing on these people?  Your attitude toward them is quite interesting don't you think.:satansmoking:

I wouldn't get between two masters if I was you. The energy bursts alone will fry yer ass.

Besides OC has no intention of looking into this matter.

I accidentally stepped on a sting-ray barb in Florida a few years back. The pain from the venom was excruciating and lasted for 6 hours and my head swelled up like Bill Shatner. Is it truly interesting and a mystery to you that I would not voluntarily court that event?

You aren't particularly interested in sting-rays. Does the difference really bypass you so easily?  Do you not hike alone in the backcountry because you might get in trouble? Have you given up swimming in the ocean?

Gee had the Wright brothers given up because it was dangerous to get up off the ground we'd all be still riding around in Limos.
