What do you think are the best bands or albums of all time? I want to download some new music, and I want some good stuff . Which ever you think is the greatest ever, let me know. Also give some reasons, not just saying the name. Any genre, any time period.

I would agree with that. I would also say that At Fillmore East is even more bitchin'.

Sólstafir - Masterpiece of Bitterness
It's kind of progressive, psychedelic, blackish rock/metal, but it's epic and very moving. They're from Iceland and it shows.
Moonsorrow - Kivenkentaja
Perfection of epic Finnish viking metal.
In the Woods... - Omnio
This one is more avant-garde /progressive metal, but I think anyone who loves to trip should hear this album. It's not harsh as most metal is, and flows so well. It's just fucking beautiful. Masterpiece. They have the best lyrics, too.

Bohren & der Club of Gore - Sunset Mission
They are doomy noir-jazz from Germany. I've posted about these guys/made a thread about this album quite a few times in the past. It is the penultimate "reflecting on life while chainsmoking during a 3AM stroll in the city with orange streetlights veiling everything" soundtrack. It is down-tempo and minimalistic, and it takes cues from doom metal aesthetic in that every single note adds on more and more emotion and atmosphere. It is both powerful and ultra relaxed, and honestly it is only 1 of a handful of albums I own where EVERY SINGLE SONG IS MY FAVORITE. Emotive atmosphere, nobody does it better than these guys.
Black City Skyline
Deathspell Omega - Fas - Ite, Maledicti, In Ignem Aeternum
The pieces on this album... no human being alive should be able to play these songs, unless they are a band comprised of T-1000 Series Terminators. To fully appreciate this album you must give it your 100% undivided attention, as it is intricate, chaotic, and extremely layered, as well as being an audial whirlwind of razor blades. I listen to this album day after day and I still cannot comprehend the fact that it came from somebody's mind. However, I don't just like this album because it's "chaotic" or "brutal" or "sick" or "insane". I dig it from a solely unbiased musical perspective. Its composition is perfect, and the most "neo-classical" album I've ever listened to. If you read the lyrics (which are fucking epic to read along with the music) you will understand it, why it sounds the way it does, and really make you question how insane a person can become...
...I offer you a simple experiment of the mind. Listen to this song thoroughly.
Then imagine a regular guy,
sitting in his room,
coming up with this shit.
The Repellent Scars of Abandon and Election

Bluetech - Elementary Particles
This only recently became one of my favorite albums. Really flowing, intricate, surreal, ethereal album that washes you away into a realm of escapism and supreme peace. Excellent psychedelic ambient.
Cosmologic
Corrupted - El Mundo Frio
Corrupted are a sludge/doom band from Japan... who sing in Spanish. They've released quite a few splits with grindcore bands and can dish out some short and sweet dirty sludgey tracks, but on their albums shit gets fucking serious. El Mundo Frio is a 1 song album, a little over an hour long, that mixes the most tranquil ambient soundscapes and beautiful acoustic melodies with some of the most crushing, monolithic doom metal I have ever heard. This song invokes so much imagery and for a while it was my favorite song to do Salvia quids to.
It is an hour well fucking spent, trust me
(wow! I found the whole hour long track in its entirety on Youtube:
(V.E.G.A.) - Far From You
Far from us indeed. This album transcends genre. It is epic. I don't know what else to say, but have a listen:
9 Rooms
If you dig these, I have 938257908369082760982 more albums to recommend for you

Fuck yeah. Great album. He really has a unique sound. Way better than his album after that. The title escapes me.

Why? I dunno mang, it's just a quintessential skate punk album from the 90s. When I was 9 or so all I would do at my friend's house is listen to this album and play Jet Moto. Twas the beginning of my obsession with NOFX.

Talking Heads first album 77 is absolutely amazing. One of the better things I have heard, and it is good all the way through. Always keeps me coming back with its catchy and amazingly written songs.
