Yeah, vaporizers are the way to go. MUCH easier on the lungbags.

I'm considering converting a 100 watt HPS into my vaporbuddy.

But then that's a waste of a perfectly good light bulb so idk....might wait until one goes bad.

If you have the cash, just get a purpose made vape (avoid the cheaply made Chinese ones, though).

Ive recently bought some beeline, its a hemp string coated in bees wax. It hasn't arrived yet but seems likes it will make my bong hits healthy and taste alot nicer
I can never bring myself to vape daily, just love smoke too much

butane + oxygen → carbon + water
that hemp string would be worse for the body. It is green for the PLANET, as it doesn't require production of a disposable plastic component. However as you can see above, butane burns clean and hemp string doubtless produces any number of products of combustion far worse than CO2 or H20

Well I always looked at the heated air as the only real threat anyway...
I've heard that smoking marijuana will negatively affect your throat before affecting your lungs...that coincides with the heated air damaging tissue in one's body.
I already had a polyp that grew out of the side of my throat, perpendicular to my tonsil thing back there. But it went away as randomly as it appeared.

bee line aka hempwick is the shit.. it makes the hit taste amazing and is A LOT smoother..
iv turned a lot of 'old timers' onto bee line because when they hit it, their lungs dont hurt!
butane is what makes your lungs burn, shit is toxic...

But does all the butane combust and what kind of other impurities does butane contain, which could pass into the smoke?
I will have to see how i get on with the stuff, If i don't, im probably just going to purchase a heat gun, as lighters are getting pretty damn annoying. The beeline was advertised as making hits taste nicer due to not leaving a butane taste, you're probably right though I haven't thought it all through properly, hell if it doesn't work as advertised im sending it back

unless you are smoking from like a zippo or something, I doubt seriously there is much butane passed on. Also this type of short-chain hydrocarbon is not highly toxic in and of itself. The impurities question is a good one but I for one have never tasted butane from using Bic lighters and I have smoked daily for 20 years. I still say that hemp rope probably adds more carboniferous burn by-products, and likely has a greater chance of producing known carcinogens.

Awesome, this is what I was expecting, bet its much closer to a solar hit than using a butane lighter
How long does it last you? Ive bought one of the balls, Ive had to have it shipped to the uk as i can't seem to find the stuff here. So hoping the ball will last me a while.

I doubt there's any butane passed on from a zippo, seeing as they use Naphtha as the fuel Also who uses zippos to light bongs??, its a major last resort id much rather walk to a 24hr garage and get a disposable lighter.
As for the carcinogens in the hemp string, there likely to be exactly the same variety as in the cannabis and a much smaller amount considering how much hemp string is being burnt each hit compared to cannabis. So i seriously doubt its anymore harmful to health then cannabis smoke is already.
If you've only ever smoked using a Bic lighter are you really going to notice a butane taste unless you experiment with lighting your bowls a different way??

Beeline is cool, my roommate makes his own, and it really makes your hits taste better. I just have no patience for the stuff, I'd rather just light my bowl than fumble around with burning string.

Best way for sure. I bought myself little puny glass wand, but it doesn't really work. I need to get myself a proper one.

iv been using bee line religiously since last May, Summercamp festival to be exact (which is happening right now haha) but ya, shit is dope especially if smoked with headies or bubble hash. I have taken maybe a dozen hits with a lighter since I discovered bee line. I bring it EVERYWHERE with me and I never run out. The times i had to use a lighter, i was on vacation and used it all. I even made a thread about how much i hate smoking with lighters, it was sickening.
enjoy the bee line
