LC and 7 PF Tek jars inoculated with B+ MS. Will post more pics once any kind of visible growth occurs. I inoculated the center of the PF jars so it might be awhile for those to show any type of growth.

No growth visible yet in the PF jars. It will probably be another 5-7 days before seeing growth in there, maybe even longer. The LC on the other hand has little black specks in it. I'm guessing it's from the B+ MS syringe, which, relatively, had alot of spores in it. The majority of the specks just stay on the bottom of the jar, when not stirred up. Does this usually occur when using MS for an LC?

I've had it happen, but the spores were only there for 4 days after inoculation, then they made nice mycelium...

Here's an MS LC 1 week after inoculation (strain is Dancing Tiger w/ 1cc of MS solution):

on another note, what's on top of your BRF jars? Are those coffee filters? If so, they're useless...

Alright cool maybe it will show mycelium in a few days. Yea, those are coffee filters on top of the jars. Why are they useless?

because coffee filters filter Large particles that you can see w/ your eye, not microscopic organisms like green mold.

It's like trying to stop a mosquito w/ a barbed wire fence.

You should have a dry verm layer on top of your BRF, which is your contam barrier for PF tek.

Haha that's a great analogy. What if the barbed wire fence is enclosing a mosquito zapper mechanism. Then that mosquito is going to be :flipthebird:. Yea I have a dry verm layer/mosquito zapper for contams/mosquitos. Thanks for the reply dude, much appreciated.

yea, it's not my analogy...it's RR's. wish I could claim it.

Ditch the coffee filters anyways...
