what do you Drive..?
    #14519473 - 05/27/11 06:28 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

not that i really care much about Cars at all. but since my BF lost his liscense, i get to drive his car all around! its a 2010 Black honda Civic. i named her "Rupunzel", its so fun to race around in that thing, after the p*o*s im used to driving that barely goes 50 up hills when i floor the peddle. every morning i drop him off from work and get Faster & faster on the way back. first i was going 80 back, then i was going 90 back, today i went 105 all the way back. i know its bad  but its sooo fun! lol i would never do this before but its so freeing. he doesnt like that i abducted his car. he complains i go to fast already and im heavy on the brake. but im a 2 footer when i drive, a habit i couldnt ever break. every morning its something differnt that "i did" he complains about. yesterday it was "pulling to the right", this morning "the tires were low and are bumping", but i dont notice those things i never did. i could have a blowout and not notice. i actually drove all the way up the street with a flat tire before i reliezed it was flat. but i was doped up then...

so what do you drive? post a pic..!

I've got an 08 vw jetta. It's a pretty nice car, and good on gas.
It's not my dream car though, but it gets the job done.

I drive an '04 cadillac CTS. It's a blast to drive but its got so many things wrong with it that it only runs for a while before I have to repair something else.

50 - 60 mpg, 350,000 miles so far, no major repairs. Only thing I've mucked with so far is the exhaust (I live waaaay up North and the salt (NOT BATH SALT) tears up the bellies.)

This car is the best car I've ever had to deal with, OMG. If Ford is failing, it's because they didn't downsize and stick with making this model exactly the way it was. :P

The car I owned most recently was one of these (minus the preposterous alloys):

No thrills 1994 Peugeot 405 2.0 8 valve, but with some of the things that made it a comfortable cruiser (leather upholstery, cruise control, aircon, ABS)
Bought it in 2007, but it blew its head gasket late 2009 or early 2010. Fixed it, drove around in it for another 20k miles, and then the gasket blew again last October. Sick of repairing stuff on a car of that age that had done about 200k miles by then, I left it along the side of the road and repaired my bike. I now use my bike and public transport.

Well said. I wouldn't drive one either... but they've built the country demanding that we have one, or two, or three, or four....

Don't take it too hard - I HATE people driving my car, even my gf, and usually cringe the entire time cause I like it treated just so :P

Anyways back to topic my car is a 98 Honda Civic dx, with euro lights, lowered, all red, sexy shiny aluminum rims.
Same build as this car only obviously different.

I wont let anyone drive my car ever under any circumstance. Well maybe if I was blacked out in the back seat...but how many times does that happen?

Same. Sometimes I will let someone drive it but I am usually so stressed it feelsbadman.

I would rather drive sketchy and tired then let someone else drive.

I drive an 03 Focus ZTS 5-speed.  I bought it in 04 with 4000mi for 50% of the original sticker price, and pretty much drove it for free for the first 5 years with an extended warranty.  Now it has 110k miles, and is starting to rust.  It's just about time to shop for a new one.  I like it because it's fun to drive, gets 28-30mpg, and has the premium sound system with a 6 disk changer and subwoofer.  I'm afraid my maintenance free days are limited though...

I only have about 76k on the caddy but the previous owner fucking destroyed that thing.
Dumbass poured oil into the break reservoir and I had to get the whole hydraulic system replaced.
