It would take a big badass cat though. I've had cats that would stalk pigeons, never seen one get caught. Chickens are bigger and stronger than that.
But the right cat, yeah sure.

appears he was seen entering a greenhouse that had chicks in it... guess he's guilty. still don't want to kill my cat for following his natural urges. maybe tell the neighbour to secure her poultry? two years ago a weasel or some animal like it killed all her chickens. and then there was the fox.

It depends on the cat. On my parents farm area they had many cats and chickens. The cats were always bullied by the chickens. But once one of the cats ate a rabbit. So they have it in them

"Chicks"? A cat would eat those in a second. But they should have protection from cats and foxes and such.

This. Chicks are like tasty baby birds for a cat. Kind of like dessert. But DOC is right, it is really their fault for not securing them. It seems like they are not that good at doing it either, considering Quote:
? two years ago a weasel or some animal like it killed all her chickens. and then there was the fox.
Its not that hard to secure chickens. Chicks are even easier to secure.

Is your neighbor expecting that? Really? Dumb bitch. Obviously you're not going to kill your cat for this. In your place, I'd offer her to buy her some new chickens and help securing them.

Did you cat go onto your neighbors property or did the chicks wander into yours?
Dead animals are no laughing matter. People take that seriously.
For the record I definitely laughed after I typed that; chickens are just so funny.

lol, neighbor's super retarded. cats kill anything they can tackle. it's not normal for a chicken-owner to be keeping their birds in a greenhouse

Haha of course they are normal. They're still animals. I think chicken is tasty, I imagine most other animals do too. Quote:

Yeah, my cat usually doesn't eat what he kills because we feed him well enough. Instead he brings it to us as presents. Or maybe just to show off. We're constantly finding dead mice and birds at the doorstep.

what happened: on the day of the incident my parents took the cat and drove it to a forest, threw it out and came back home. i asked what happened, they didn't want to talk about it, said they gave it to another family in some backwater village. then they stopped talking about it.
i expected the neighbour to prove it was our cat (only a year old). now this is the countryside and cats walk around all the time. that means off our property. each house has its own cat and they sort out their territories amongst themselves... now im afraid to let my cat out... i have legal premise to call the police and turn in my parents for animal cruelty but i dont want it to come to that for fucks sake. what the fuck should i do?
i went out with a friend a few days ago and asked around the place i heard the cat was thrown out. everyone thought it was outrageous and no one believed it was a cat that killed broiler chicken. they said a fox or some smaller predator. my cat eats at home a lot and the chickens were "half eaten".
today i got a call and drove to a farm and got my cat back. it was covered with ticks, starved and shaking. the woman who had him said to tell my parents they are fools and inhuman. now the cat is back and i fed him and calmed it down... what to do?
