huge noob with an even bigger question...

I have looked everywhere but i can't seem to find a straight answer. How many pins would you eat if you had to harvest before they fully matured and wanted to experience significant effects? I need to know because I'm leaving on a camping trip, and to be honest I seriously doubt this grow will actually be successful... heres why not:

As you can see from this picture i am a total newb cuz my holes are no where near 1/4 in diameter so the FAE is quite lacking. I feel like everytime I fan and mist I am displacing the humidity too much to thats why these pins are stalling.
heres some pics of my grow:

brf style in a shoddy SGFC

is that one too damp?

very insignificant pinset (so far)

pointing out my grow and its mistakes/outcomes for future nobbs like me
Sooooo, tet me get my question across briefly- can i just eat some pins ( around 5-10 ) and expect to have a trip?? It's not looking very fruitful... and i am leaving on my camping adventure in 3 days.. wanna have something to do while im gone

There is some debate as to whether pins are more potent than mature shrooms. IME they have been equally potent

Don't be so hard on yourself dude... your project looks awesome to me. Those cakes look perfect!
Next time, put some foil or sealing lids on the perlite and put your cakes on top of that.
As far as your humidity is concerned, I'm told a properly built SGFC with 4" of perlite and elevated to be sure air can flow through all 6 sides has a self-contained adequate amount of humidity.
Just keep misting then fanning 3-6 times a day and you should be rocking it soon.
Concerning your primary question, it's difficult to say because dosage recommendations are based on weight and pins can vary in this respect. Keep up the routine for 2 more days and see where you're at then... it'd be a shame for you to pick pins and end up not having enough to get a proper experience out of them.

haha I do watch over them like a hawk, I mist/fan every hour or two... lol
thanks for the tip I shall do that. Appreciate all the help you've been throughout my first grow K00laid- you've been with me the whole way.
And Ryath I just wanted to point out that the SGFC I built wasn't according to the TEK cuz the holes are too small so thats just a mistake I wanted to share. I will take your advice for the perlite and the misting/fanning, i'm probably doing it way too much

You need a 6500K rated lightbulb Hang it directly over your FC about 12" away or closer if you want.
& you're def. fanning & misting wayyyy too much. 3-4 times per day w/ a SGFC is adequate.
Just sit & look @ them if you want to check on them, no touchy...

well like I said my SGFC isn't necessarily per the tek, I try to make up for the lack of FAE by fanning more, but this definitely adversely effects my humidity i'm thinking.
I am trying to keep em in indirect sunlight now, but I'll have to try a 6500K light sometime.

Dude, those cakes look great. I'd put a canning jar lid under em tho.
Mine took a long time to start, but once they did, they took off!

I will agree with what others have already said.
Less misting, and get some foil underneath those cakes. They shouldn't be touching the perlite.

When I fan and mist I use an ultrasonic fogger and fill the sgfc with mist. Then I use a small desk fan and blow out the mist using it as a visual aid to see how the air is flowing. Then I very lightly fog up the chamber again to quickly up the humidity with out getting droplets in my cakes. I've been getting great yields with this method
