What would it take for peace
    #14518032 - 05/26/11 09:54 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Are people too stupid (among other qualities)?  A sober buddy of mine brought up his theory that "People don't need drugs to be peaceful. They need to stop being idiots." Psychs can expand and open minds to provide some beautiful realizations. Yet how do such realizations come about if one if not interested in drugs? It's shameful to say but before psychedelics I was not the most peace oriented or as in tune with..with everything as I am now. I feel this is true to quite a few people around me also. Kids studying and learning about "hippies" and "peace" opened lots of minds. Yet we aren't very peaceful or respectful people in our existence. I want to know why, what would it take for a massive thought movement to change society for the better.

My theory winds down to psychedelics but they certainly aren't for everyone and there is no way that would happen. So practically what would it take?

It has to start with our children and how we educate them.  A good start would be a mandatory peace studies class in every high school.  Maybe even a meditation class as well.

refuse to being so addicted to violence and enchanted by it.

stop killing in the name of god and countries.

adopt widespread pacifism as a way of evolution.

end the duality of man through evolved perceptions of individualism.

abandon aristocracy and greed from government and responsible factors of community to end segregation.

evolution.
