"How To Die in Oregon"
    #14517907 - 05/26/11 09:37 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Who has seen this documentary?
It's about assisted suicide, it's legal to assist suicide in Orgeon.

It's on HBO right now and holy shit.Heart felt stuff.

I'm so happy that there are groups in the US who help these terminally ill people exit this wonderful life.

Good watch,recommend it.

I wonder if terminally ill people had their choice of drugs if they would still want to die?  I'm guess some wouldn't want to be doped up for the remainder of their life, but still I wonder.

There are doctors who treat terminally ill patients with psilocybin to "prepare" for death.

Saw a show on it.This lady had pretty bad cancer and had months to live. She said the trips helped her fear death less and definitely aided the death process.

A lot of the terminally ill are already on multiple medications for various things. Just the meds don't cure the problem just help relieve. That is the major issue the don't want to live on anymore in a world of shit where they need a couple pills a day to just be able to walk around.
Jack kervokian was pretty good about it and the movie can shed some perspective if your interested.
