cubes in new york?

i went outside to pet my cat and found 3 small shroomies growing in the grass at the edge of my garden. I know cubes arent native to upstate ny...i dont have a camera so the best i can do is describe them.
theyre all about an inch tall. cap is 1/2 inch wide light golden color with a bit of a nipple. stem is whitish yellow and bruising blue severely. i can see where the veil was on the stem. gills are light in color on one and dark on another (spores im guessing)
It looks like a cube. but since theyre not native here...are there native species that look very similar?
thanks

Can't do much without pics. Could be an Ovoid, but probably not a cube.

^^That. I'm no expert, but I can almost guarantee that it isn't a cube. The bruising leads me to believe that it may be an Ovoid, almost certainly a psilocybe, but you won't be able to get any confirmation without pictures.

not a cube unless you are in some ninja shroomery members crap dump in their back yard, doubt it though
have you read the handy guide on how to find naturally occurring active mushrooms in your area by chance, hmm?
and NO! it does NOT look like a cube without pics, damnit

I can guarantee 100% they're not cubes. Probably not ovoids either, more likely to be Lacrymaria lacrymabunda or something.

Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata is possible. Can you describe the gill color in more detail?

one has very light colored gills, and towards the center starts to turn brownish. the other cap has brown to dark brown gills. the cap color is a light tan/golden color. its bruising blue also. they look just like cubes...gills, everything.where i found them was right outside the rockwall of my garden growing in lawn grass and there was a few scattered pieces of mulch. i have a few pics...but my phone isnt letting me upload anything. pos!

1.email yourself the pictures with your phone. 2.open the email from your PC. 3.save the emails to your desktop 4.upload the pictures on shroomery.org
Hope this helps.
