Animals and mushrooms
    #14514257 - 05/26/11 09:20 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Im tripping balls right now.

Came back in from taking a piss and had the thought of going over in the general direction of my cat. Before I was anywhere near him he was awake and tripping himself. His pupils were massively dilated and I was really connecting with him.

Someone help me understand this please

How do you know he was tripping? Just because his pupils were dilated doesn't mean he was tripping.

I know my animals are nowhere to be found when I eat mushies..

I will upload a video when I come down.
I can't explain it, but hopefully the video will.

Cat's pupils dilate when they focus on something.  And cats are always sorta stoned.

My cats see "space spiders".  They can be sitting there and start wigging out about something around them that only they see.

you were just assuming things under the influence if you ask me.

however, ive caught my dog plenty of times with a bag of weed he found under my bed. he'd never chew it or anything but he would pick it up and go take it somewhere and lay down next to it.

what a stoner dog.

i wouldn't think your cat was tripping unless you saw your cat around your shrooms or saw he/she eat it.

my cat always interacts with me more, and differently, when i'm trippin sack. but it's probably attributable to my own shift in concious behaviour/body language.

i'm guessing this is probably the case for you. my cat's pupes are always huge when he's inside

Alright, here's the story.

My cat is sleeping on his bed. It's 2am in the morning. I come in from taking a piss and decide to go over and pat my cat. Before I even get close to him he awakens and starts meowing. I put my hand on him, his fur is so soft. I basically run back to my room and he comes running after me.

Now here's the fucked part.
He was basically chasing me around the room, like an energy from me was magnetising him to myself.
At one point a few minutes after filming him, he was on the ground, half resting on his head and back feat, one paw had its claws extended and was dug into the ground. He was purring a lot and seemed to have lost his motor skills. If you've seen the cat on LSD video, it was just like that but not as intense.

Also, he is not the type of cat that is super friendly like this. Usually I pick him up, take him into my room and first thing he does is leaves.

I will upload the video shortly.

Well, here's the video, along with another one from this morning showing his true, lazy personality.

After watching the video I took while tripping, it does appear that some of what I thought was due to my intoxication, but still, he was acting very differently with a completely different personality.

My cats acts like that all the time when they're happy, it probably noticed you were trippy and your happy aura spread to it.

That sounds possible.

All I know is that I haven't ever seen him act like that before.

Why not both do drugs:shrug: then the happiness will reach psychotic anime proportions

Of course he may not go for the mushroom so you might have to lace his food/water

Perhaps I should make an animal/BMI/psychedelic dose spreadsheet:awegroove:

My cat does stuff like that all the time. She's a real spazzed out kitty though.

Your cat's not on drugs. That looked like 100% normal cat behavior.

I believe the cats don't trip with us but pick up on the scrambled brain waves.  Cats grow used to our bio-chemical and electric feedback . . . while tripping, those get readjusted, and they react in different ways.  My orange cat prefers to cuddle, but the white cat stares at me. The brown cat hides, and the kitten runs around like she has a bee in her butt.

i have been around cats a couple of times while tripping and they can totally tell!  And they gravitate towards me its weird, I don't even have to go to them for them to pick it up.  I remember the first time my cat noticed me tripping she was meowing fiercely, her pupils were dilated, and her fur felt moist and very soft.

Then another time while tripping at the beach in North Beach, South Florida, I freaked out cuz of the beach buggy cops and ran and found myself in this little forested walkway at a park, and it was filled with cats!  About 7 or 8 of them squeezed through the fence sensing I was there and sat on the brick path and just stared at me, as I stared at them.  Then a lady walking her dog came and we all ran!

Yeah man, I believe animals can sense when we're tripping, like we've come back to nature or something, back to the spirit.
