I never weight it with the stem i feel like its cheating the real weight of the cap
Why?
Cause we don't eat the stem.

Your right I know people who do have cubes indoor, but I can't grow indoors and I want my own. Just as was said before, California is warm enough but too dry, so all I have to do is emulate that humidity, which would be pretty simple with a greenhouse and some misters. That actually seems easier to me than growing them inside...
