Ok so here it is. I have been trying to get my new setup off the ground for 2 months now. It consists of flow hood and strain isolation on agar I also have filter disks for lids.
Here is my process i transfer from agar to grain let that colonize then transfer do a g2g then transfer to mono following Damion5050 coir tech.
I have had 10 mono contaminations and 3 contaminations in the g2g jar strains. All work except grain into mono was in front of a flow hood that had been running for 2 hours and the room sprayed with lysol. As far as how the grain was treated it was aloud to soak for 12 to 16 hours, then boiled for 10 min, put into a strainer and let set for 1 to 2 hours, then put in to jars and sterilized for 1.5 hours @ 15psi then let cool in cooker, finally g2g the next day.
The jars were washed in a dishwasher on sterilize cycle and the lids were hand washed.
As can be seen i just cant figure this one out. The only thoughts i have are the grain was not sterilized long enough or the grain sitting our for 1 to 2 hours during the straining process is causing a problem.
Is it possible that the strains are just week as well as i screwed up some where. I am also trying 2 hour pc of grains now to see if that will help. my altitude is a little over 1000 ft.
I am also in an old house so trich and black mold are every where just cant figure out how it is contaminating when i am using a flow hood properly.

Sounds like a sterile procedure problem. Are you wearing surgical mask and alcohol washed surgical gloves? Are you using the hood properly, never allowing anything, especially fingers, to come between the hood and your open jars?
Spraying Lysol into the air is a waste of product. It's a hard-surface cleaner. It won't do squat for air, carpet, curtains, etc. RR
