Ron Paul against giving presidents more power

I thought we all should listen closely because Ron Paul sees our freedom flying right out the door.
Wed 5/25 - The Last Straw
http://dailypaul.com/
Thanks also to ACinMA for getting the first (partial) recording of the speech online
If we don't vote for this man our ignorance of giving our freedom up for safety will catch up with us in a few years!!

1. He doesn't. 2. He has a perfect record of achieving nothing. 3. Pics or you don't have one. Maybe you can repost Anthony Weiner's sad bulge.

I have ZERO problem with the Patriot Act and every time I ask the assholes screaming about it how they have been impacted or what specifically they don't like they have nothing to say.
One thing he has not accomplished is stopping the Patriot Act. So just what has he accomplished other than to develop a devoted following among college sophomore simpletons?

You have no problem with the Patriot Act? You have no problem with the government going through your shit without a judge issuing a warrant? You really believe all that terrorism, 'we are protecting you' bullshit.
boy you really love takin it deep from that government dont you.
Hey zappa, so terrorists are a big threat right? and they DONT want us to be free? So if we have to give up our freedoms to stop them...arent they winning?

How can I be taking it deep from the government because of the Patriot Act when it has zero impact on me? It has cost me zero freedoms and government could always go through your shit. Say, did you know that judges are part of the government? It's true. Another further piece of information you should digest is that there has been a secret tribunal of judges ruling on security matters long before there was ever a Patriot Act. It's called FISC. And any evidence gained improperly, as always, would be inadmissable in court.
The only government oppression I feel is in the tax code.
Now why don't you tell me just precisely how you personally have been impacted by the Patriot Act.

Hyperventilate much?
I suspect that, as usual here, what is at issue for you personally are enforcement of drug laws. To attempt to immunize yourself from drug prohibition prosecution you would empower violent thugs by weakening law enforcement. Wrong tack. Convince the people to end prohibition.
Do you know what is the most intrusive government agency, with power to seize property and imprison violators on very little evidence? The IRS. It's true. Then there are the assholes like Bloomburg who has just made it illegal to smoke a perfectly legal product in public parks in NYC. That is the kind of fascism I worry about. Food police, too.

So you acknowledge that the Patriot Act is irrelevant to government intrusion on "freedom", you just don't like to be dissed. Here is how you know it isn't unconstitutional; it hasn't been overturned. You are not the arbiter of what is and is not unconstitutional, obviously. I suspect your legal education is rather thin.
You know people who have been affected? I would love to hear about those cases. Without revealing details, of course.

Some of my friends would disagree. But they can't say so because they're dead. And are you really proposing to put the military in charge of criminal terrorism investigations?
I HAVEN'T GIVEN UP ONE SINGLE FREEDOM DUE TO THE PATRIOT ACT. YOU ALSO HAVE ADMITTED YOU HAVEN'T EITHER.
Ron Paul is going nowhere except the dustbin of history much like Lyndon Larouche and Ross Perot

1. They haven't invaded Libya 2. The Libya overreach hasn't even received a hearing and has only been going on for 2 months and in violation for about a week. The Patriot Act has been in place for ten years now and has been renewed twice. TEN YEARS! You are no lawyer.

When your freedom is gone because you chose safety over freedom don't cry to us at the shroomery. I will not stand for a police state. I like Ron Paul and will vote for him 2012. He's crazy but at least tells the truth, all other runners will lie to get in office and you all know it.
