Iv'e read all the PF TEKS but one thing i'm unsure on is weather I need to use perlite or not? Will the substrate consisting of Verm, BRF and water be OK?
Also I was wondering if someone could tell me the ideal temperature for:
1. After the inoculation while the cakes are still in the jar and 2. The fruiting period?
Thanks

Perlite is used in the SGFC. The cakes use verm, BRF and water.

I did a recipe of BRF and Verm with water in a 1/2 pt jar. They're just starting to fruit and doing well. They need a bed of perlite to keep it humid in the tub. I've read that 90% humidity or higher is good, but you might want to research that yourself a little.
I did 80-86 F on colonization and 71-75 on fruiting and they seem to like that.
12 hours of light and dark while fruiting as well.

Your substrate for pf tek is only supposed to consist of brf, verm and water.
Perlite is used in the fruiting chamber to provide humidity within the tub. You don't need to use it if you have a greenhouse or spawn to bulk, but mosy likely if you are just fruiting from pf cakes you will be making a "shotgun fruiting chamber". Basically, a tub with 1/4 inch holes drilled every 2 inches on ALL sides. fill it up with perlite about 4 inches and your good to go.
Colonization temps should be room temperature. Anywhere from 72*F to 81*F
When fruiting optimal temps will be slightly lower than during colonization.

To make a PF jar you use vermiculite<verm>,BRF(Brown Rice Flower), and H20.
the ratios are 2pts verm/1part brf/1part H20 to make one jar you use: 1. 1/2 cup of verm 2. 1/4 cup BRF 3. 1/4 cup of H20
mix the verm/brf up good first than add the water. mix good and load your jar(s) to the bottom rim(where the lid sits)
wipe the inside of the jar down to the mix with your finger and add "dry" verm all the way up.
put your lid and band on and put foil over the top.
hope that helps. fell free to me with any other ?'s
good luck.
look HERE for more info.
edit~ SGFC
 one all six sides.
5in of perlite
