It took me years to find actives, mate. As long as you keep looking in the right habitat, in the right areas at the right times of year, you'll eventually find some, for sure. Don't be put off searching further afield for fear of failure.

Really? Like elprawn said, it takes many people years to find their first actives. There's a reason why they cost 50 dollars for a few grams on the black market.

I think that's also the price of shiitake on the black market.

Years? Man that sucks. I was hoping to get some soon, but I don't really have the time or patience to hunt for years >_<

Don't feel bad. You wouldn't be the first and you won't be the last that tells his friends "Hey guys, you want to trip this weekend? I know a cow pasture round the block from here" only to find out that cows don't shit magic mushrooms by default.

Yeah, it wasn't really directed at you; it was mostly about GK, who's aware himself of his proverbial crankiness. Which I must admit took on rather hilarious forms in this thread:

Maybe what you need is a book called "How to Find Psychedelic Mushrooms in Brisbane" with an introduction saying "Dedicated to nelz", written by Lemmy X. Plain, author of such bestsellers as "How to Tie Your Shoes", "Lemmy's 101 on How to Get Off the Bus at the Right Station" and "Light - an Amazing Invention That Makes you See More".

I mean, that cracked be up, although if it was direct at me, I would have been all :crankey:

According to this vid, the best months to hunt cubensis in Southern Queensland are November through March.

If you go back in this thread you will notice that was posted by me after the OP gave a few arrogant answers about the uselesness of the "How to find..." tutorial (that some of us put together collecting links and writing up in their spare time to help n00bs such as the OP) and the apparent uselesness of search functions in general.

To be honest, by the time I wrote that I was surprised that the OP wasn't asking for a sherpa to carry him to the right mushroom spots while holding up a portable DVD player over his head so the OP could enjoy some entertainment during his arduous voyage to the magic fields.

I know, I noticed that, and it didn't strike me as a particularly cooperative attitude of the OP. But still, the kid is new here and probably frustrated due to his lack of success, and then there's all these people here who have succeeded years ago at what he's trying to pull off, and they're basically telling him that there's no magic secret and he'll just have to invest more effort. I mean, I can see how that could get a person down, regardless of the truth or usefulness of the advice given.

Speaking of which, I hope you'll be available by autumn to provide me with the very services you describe. You'll be pleased to hear that none of my hunting spots involve any significant differences in altitude, so the going will be pretty easy. I like to hunt in the morning when the fields are all dewy, so you might want to bring some high boots, but frankly, I don't mind myself if your pants get wet  I'll let you know when I'm planning to head out, and I'll anticipate your timely arrival at my place.

I've got a portable DVD player but it still needs an external television and mains power source to operate.

If you promise to bring some stamina and power enhancing (you know what the Indios of the Andes do, only more concentrated) and other recreational substances I might just enter into negotiations about it with you.

I don't mind if GK finds a solution to that, as long as he's able to carry it, or have someone carry it for him. I consider myself fairly easy-going in this respect, as long as I can enjoy my basic comforts while hunting mushrooms, such as an interesting video to watch, a nice cool beverage, a soft seat, a crackling fire to warm my bones (it'll be autumn after all!) and a hearty meal cooking on the stove. Can't be too difficult catering for those most modest needs, can it?

What about the all new SEAT Kahuna? I've heard that's very popular motor vehicle in the part of Bangladesh where koraks' hut is located.

I've come to the conclusion that 99% of the time, anybody with over 9000 posts on any given forum is an arsehole. It seems like it's just a fact of life I have to accept

And when you got your panties in an untie-able knot when I called your guide useless, I laughed a little. Maybe you should learn to read full sentences before assuming I am having a dig at you. I said it was useless for ME, because it contains information relevant to areas that I do not live in, and the rest is shit I already know.

Also, I wasn't really asking for a portable DVD player or anything of the sort. My question was quite reasonable and straight forward, I believe - "what climate" was basically the extent of my question, and the other part of the question (about the location) was directed at people who had had previous luck in the Brisbane area.

Seriously, you guys need to chill the fuck out. Maybe you should work on your shroom finding skills yourself if it takes you years. Maybe if you were more lucky you'd be more lax about things

I'm confused. Which of the three of us does the last post address?

We all have over 9,000 posts.
