Where are you located? #4 definitely looks like C. comatus, but my Missouri mushroom manual says that it generally fruits September-October.

*Edit* dunno about the big one in #4.

There's usually a smaller spring fruiting for C. comatus each year. It's nothing compared to the big one in late summer - early fall. The late season fruiting is often big enough to fill a bushel basket with. The early one is usually only enough to get a taste in a meal or two.

Happy mushrooming!

I am located in Illinois, but i border close to Missouri and kentucky.
next to 4 there was defiantly shriveled up black rotten ones.  C. Comatus is edible right?

My main concern here is #1, as ive never found an active....
Shroomery says the only active pluteus in my state is Pluteus salicinus.  At first glace i thought it was a caerulipes.  ...

I don't see any that I would call C. comatus.  They might be C. nivea or something else.

Definitely nothing edible or active.
