But really it is. The pain may be in your muscles or your foot but it all leads to your brain.

I mean it didn't feel great, but like I said I like to make it a challenge for myself for some reason lol. I don't think it was quite as bad as you would think though.

I'm surprised they let you, I wouldn't want to operate on someone without them being pretty zonked on pain meds considering how the average person reacts.

thats fucked up man.
with my teeth tho i had all 4 wisdom teeth, all with fully grown roots and one tooth was growing completely sideways into the other teeth. pain generally doesn't bother me but i sure as hell wouldn't do that without anesthesia. besides the anesthesia was actually really fun :p

i don't enjoy pain, but i do enjoy to burn from exercise and working out and things. but i don't see that as pain really. thats an entirely different thing. i love pushing myself in the gym and going as far as i can go. dont enjoy the tightness or pain in my muscles in the next few days but it's all apart of the process.
I don't see that as pain though, i see pain as things like having broken bones. i'm actually really resillient to pain and can handle alot of it, any type of muscle pain , like bruises and things from being hit really isn't that painful. i thinkt he worst type of pain is definately bone pain from a broken bone or something. because with muscle pain you can kind of clutch the area and put pressure on it and it relieves the pain to a degree, but with bone pain, there is nothing you can do to resolve the pain, and it shoots directly up your bones, any movements or slights jars irritate it. its the worst.
You'll probably think im bullshitting but, years ago at school me and my friends were in teh city for some anti iraq war protests. and we were just messing around being stupid, and they dared me to ride the back of a tram, on the outside. and i did. it's easy because theres a platform to stand on and hooks to hold onto. but i got stupid as we were going down the city we crossed some cop cars parked at the lights. and i looked down, thinking ahh its only a 1metre drop can't be too bad. i failed to take into account that i was moving at 40-50km p/h. jumped off and rolled instantly backwards when i hit the floor, and i must have taken alot of the impact with my elbow as i rolled back because i fractured it, but i didnt realise at the time. i got up running and had to chase the tram down like 3-4 blocks to kfc where my mates were, and we got some kfc. while i was waiting there i didn't realise but my elbow started swelling up REALLY badly, like it looked like i had a tennis ball under my skin on my elbow, and my elbow was locking up. as in, when your arm is at 180 degrees full extension - it can't move any further. my arm was at 90 degrees and locked. it couldnt bend any further, and by this stage it was getting REALLY PAINFUL. like i was carrying my arm with my other arm, and trying to tip toe as gently as i could, and even just the tiniest movement would reverberate through my body and make it hurt more. That shit was fucked man. i had to walk to a hospital on the other side of the city with a fkn broken arm man. and i get to the hospital, and they do the x-ray and stuff, and i couldnt extend my arm on the x ray machine for them to get a proper x ray, and they yelled out stretch your arm out , and im like I CANT, and they are like you have to....and i fully just had to put all my body weight and strength into forcing my arm out flat. wow.....that shit was painful dude. like real bad. i could feel my elbow bones like grinding, it was excruciatingly painful. but now come to think of it i did get a megga boost of some sort of brain chemical from doing it afterwards. but i really did not enjoy that shit at all. doc's didnt give me any meds either, they must have thought i was a junkie, walking in clutching my arm and shit...
tl;dr - jumped off a tram, broke my arm, had to run all over town with an unknowingly broken arm, very excruciating, did actually get the 'pain high' from my brain, was not enjoyable but did make things easier/better
