Hey Tangich,
I can report that I managed to get Galindoi prints, huge and dark:
(those big ones are larger than a quarter)
This is the third flush:

So, it is clearly doable.
Like you, I did not get prints as easily with my first tub.
It is problematic....you want to wait until they are dropping spores...but then I also came home to find the surface of my sub, and the surrounding perlite, dark with spores too.
One thing that I did adjust that made things work much better was that I found a better balance with air flow in my printing vessel. A long time ago now I realized that caps need air to stay fresh and sporulating. I sealed a *gigantic* PE cap in the hopes that I might squeeze some spores out...and it turned jet black and sealed to the foil like a decal, without dropping any spores either.
I also have squat 1/2 pint jars with synthetic filter disks for lids to take print in, but this allowed the ATL7 caps to dry out way too fast.
I settled on a tupperware (in photo) container with a folder paper towel keeping the lid from fully closing.
This worked wonders.
Good luck! (and let me know if I can beat SHP to the trade thing! ;0)

Wow Javadog, those look awesome! Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely do it that way next time! I managed to get two prints, kinda small and light, but still, galindoi prints! Hopefully first of many to come. One thing I noticed with these, you really have to catch them at the right time. If you cut them too early they won't drop spores, but also if you leave them too long they won't give much, at least these first fruits don't seem to have much in them. As far as the trade thing goes, I'll be making a trade thread in the marketplace soon, probably week or so, when I have a couple galindoi prints, getting rid of some of my exotic prints and edible cultures. I'm not really looking for anything myco related at this time, especially prints. Also I'll send a dozen or so goliath prints to FSRE, so keep an eye out.

Substrate is a simple mix of horse manure and straw, with a tiny amount of coir added to suck up extra water. About 60/40 manure/straw, but I didn't really measure it. And gypsum of course. Pasteurized in jars in a pot. This mixture doesn't like to be over-pasteurized, with my next batch temps went to about 80*C for a few minutes, every single tray got bacteria and started smelling really bad really soon. Eventually molds took over I don't have pictures of the fruits yet, they're still just knots. If they start turning into pins, I'll post pictures immediately!

Good news everyone! Those were definitely knots, and are turning into pins now! There's only a couple atm, but more are popping up every day. They are still very small, but here are a few pictures anyway.

Also a couple of random pics Goliath

Galindoi

I'll update when they grow some more. Thanks for looking!

Thank you! Yes, goliaths stay pretty short, but some caps get to 2 inches in diameter! They also grow very fast and leave very thick prints. Extremely interesting variety! The KKL01 hasn't grown much in the last 12 hours, but I see a couple more pins popping up!

They're not growing very fast, but I'm not complaining. Temps are pretty constant around 80*F. Only around 5 pins in this 'flush', but the tray sat in the FC for 2 weeks, and probably lost a lot of moisture. I'll give it a dunk after these first ones mature (or not).

Thank you! Yes, this one pin looks like it could reach maturity, I really hope it does! And I must say, pins of this species are very pretty, and relatively large, cubensis sized kinda. This species could be a good candidate for domestication, but we'll see how it behaves later on.
