NEED HELP? QUICK QUESTION! DID I KILL ANY OF MY MYCELIUM BY OVERHEATING?

okay so to be honest im kind of a noob at this. basically i had my jars sitting next to a heat source for a little too long to the point where the glass was kind of hot, the mycelium now has a little grey/light blue spot on it where the glass was hot. did i kill some of the mycelium? the different colored spot doesnt seem to be growing but the white mycelium seems to slowly still be growing? what should i do and if that part of the mycelium is dead is there anyway to still put the part that isnt dead in a fruiting chamber to get results, im just kinda p.o'd at myself the jars are about 60 to 70 percent covered. any help would be much appreciated!

Heating them is unnecessary. The only way to know if they are lost is to keep waiting... patience is something you must learn if you want to succeed with your projects.
you can store colonizing jars in any room with ambient temps of 58-80, but the ideal temp is about 65-75F, depending on your preference.
Pics might help to determine if the jars are shot.

The use of an incubator, rather than normal room temperature, is about as necessary as the use of capital letters in a thread title. RR

Just continue and find out. I find the best temp is 78-80....

I honestly found the best temps to be above 70 to keep the moisture from misting evaporating well. At 67 humidity dropped significantly because it too cold for it to evaporate as quick as air would flow through the holes and at 75-78 the stems were long and very hollow.
Good advice in first two posts though, RR has tons of experience and Ryath has great advice.

I think he's talking about colonizing

oh wow yeah I don't know what I read but ok. 78 is great for colonizing but generally, incubation is not needed. I incubate whole rooms because I have limited times to grow between travels.
my apologies I am very tired and read something else and posted something not needed

not sure if anyone was curious about knowing the outcome, but actually to my amazement. the mycelium actually kept growing on the side that didnt get as hot. the newer mycelium is actually starting to take over those weaker or dead areas too.
