I think it's important to keep our delusions of life after death in check (boundaries), because for me at least, knowledge of our impermanence is what creates the strongest bonds of love and caring.  It creates a tremendous sense of beauty, because I know this moment will not come again.

I agree. Letting it happen is as good as it gets. But honestly, while there is a part that always allows it to happen (because it's powerless not to) there is a lot of mental stirring that exists in opposition. I'd be a big fat liar to say there wasn't. So even though my mind may say at times, "let it be", there's lots of other times that it says "change it to..."

I totally agree, it is always a work in progress. I think when the statement "change it to" arises two of things can happen with an individual: One - you try and "change it to" not matter how impossible it might be, or two - you recognize the ego's attempts at changing things you can not control, you learn from the experience and then you move on.

As hard as I try, and trying might be the foolish part; my ego is and will always be there, it is acknowledging that and then learning from it that I find a lot of knowledge and content comes from. One thing I always like to say to myself when things go array is this..."I cannot control that which I did not create, therefore I cannot fear that which I can not control. I however can control that which I do create, my thoughts, my feelings, my emotions." I find that statement helps bring me back to the moment and realize that we are just a minute part of the whole, but as minute as we are we still live in the whole and therefore have the ability to recognize that and enjoy it for what it is.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us all. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
