This is 4 qts of Lipa Yai WBS spawned to about 8 qts of substrate.Give or take. Substrate depth is about 5 inches. . Opened the bag today and found pinning so introduced fruiting. This is in Doc Ts mono shotgun hybrid 27 qt.

Hoping for a lot of pins.

I hope not. the bottom 4 inches was 3 qts of spawn. then used 1 qt of spawn with coir for the top inch. so the top layer is a lower spawn ratio. maybe a little to much though.

update: a little over 100 pins and mushrooms. This strain multispore, seems to consistently produce similiar results. fast strong colonization. easy to pin. alot of clusters. but produces alot of smaller fruits compared to the other strains iv'e used.

Awesome. Im probably gonna throw this outside after the first flush.
Just spawned 2 qts texan to half a brick of coir. I plan to let this one consolidate 3-4 weeks after 100 percent colonization.
I dont want to open the bag to check so im going to tie it and make a GE hole with micropore tape.
Any recommendations on the placement and size of the hole?

I'd say if it's just a hole for GE, 4-6 nail sized holes (1/4") should suffice

Thanks and this tub has a higher chance to contaminate because of the way i spawned it, because i didnt cover the exposed grain with a coir layer. Good news is humidity here is high and in a week temps will be perfect. so if it contaminates I can just throw it ouside.
