Help with my mini mono tub PICS

This mini mono has been colonizing for 2 weeks in a dark closet. I followed the Doc T mini mono but used 2 quarts (WBS) instead of three.

AS you can see here, colonization is weak but and the myc is "spiking" upwards along the edges. I don't think I see pinning but this is my first tub.

Should I begin to fruit this now? Help appreciated.

I would definitely for someone a little bit more qualified to answer. But let me take a stab at it. I would not introduce fruiting right now, otherwise I'd be worried about contamination. As for explanation of why this mycellium growth is so weak, could you provide any information about it. MS, isolate, LC (new or old). when colonizing the spawn was growth slow or did it exhibit strong rhizomorphic growth? The weak growth could be due to poor genetics or environmental conditions. In my experience I've experienced wispy like finger protrusions during fruiting when the mycellium wasn't receiving enough FAE and "it's reaching out for it".

I see pins on the second picture down . Also your substrate looks to be pretty deep. The reason it's pinning is because the mycelium is done consolidating the substrate, as we can see it's clearly not completely colonized and this may be due to several different factors (too dry, contaminants etc.). As to whether to let it fruit or put it back into colonizing conditions... Well I would personally leave it the way it is and keep an eye out for contams. But that's just me.

I'm a little bit ahead of you doing the same thing, check my F+ grow. One of the newest pics I posted is my doc_t's mono shot gun and I introduced to fruiting the same time you did. I think it's riskier to put into fruiting right now, and would personally let sit for another couple days...
Mine is starting to pin a week after fruiting conditions, but I have no idea how well it will do... I'll keep ya posted

This was a MS to LC to WBS. No sign of contam's. The depth is based on the same mix as teh tek in the same Sterilite container as Doc recommends. I think it's the poor spawn ratio that is causing it. I'll just try to give it more time. I have 2 more regular tubs colonizing so this is a learning period for me.

Mine was LC to WBS, spawned 1:1, I waited 14 days and my tub looked like that also... then again it might just be me and my shitty coir... lol
