Why do my Flammulina velutipes look like this?

I realize I let them grow too long so the caps got really big. But I kept waiting for the stems to get really long. I gave them about 100 lux. I know they like a lot of CO2, but I don't have any means of generating it in my FC. I also added collars around the tops of the jars to extend the stems, but they never got tall enough to even reach them.
Anybody else grow "White Enoki" that looked like this?

Can you please post some detailed photos of fruits outside the jars? This looks like it could be Lentinus tigrinus...

Here are more pics of fruits. I tried to pull one out of the jar, and they all came out in a clump. Color balance on the second photo looks off.

Yup, those are all Lentinus tigrinus. Still a very good mushroom, don't throw it away. Here's a picture of white enoki grown outdoors in fresh air.

Here's a view that shows the gills and stems better. Still look like Lentinus tigrinus?

Yup. The serrated gills scream Lentinus. Will you be eating them? I'm trying to grow them atm, I've heard they taste really good, somewhat like shiitake. If you do, please report back!

Yup, even I can recognize those tough, shaggy-looking stems as Lentinus. I'll report back on the flavor!

I am happy to report that Lentinus tigrinus is a wonderful tasting mushroom! I cooked the caps as simply as possible, lightly in a little olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. The flavor is reminiscent of Shiitake, but milder and more subtle. These also had a very delicate texture.
The stems are, like those of Shiitakes, too tough to eat. But I simmered them in water for about half an hour, and added a bit of soy sauce, salt, saki, and sugar (if I had some mirin, I would have used it in place of the last two ingredients). This broth was great! Again, subtle and interesting, without clobbering you with either a Shiitake or generic mushroom (Agaricus stop-and-shopus) flavor. [I used to be a restaurant critic -- can you tell? ]
I'm definitely growing more of these, but in bags and not jars!

Very interesting development.
Thank you very much for sharing pictures with us brother, very interesting mushroom indeed.
I think I remember seeing a grow of Lentinus tigrinus(or what is another lentinus species?) done by waixingren on a phone book, it captivated me and has stuck out in my mind ever since. Perhaps in the future we can work out a culture trade and beef up each others collections?
I would be very interested in working with this mushroom.

EvilMushroom666: Apparently, Lentinula and Lentinus are one and the same genus. This sort of name change in biological classification seems to happen over the years, as experts wrangle over phylogeny.
