Anyone think the media can help end the war on drugs?

Apparently they are too influenced by certain forces but I think if they weren't corrupt they could probably do a lot more to get things like mj legalized.

To be fair a lot of the online news is very much in favor but they don't cover the topic often enough considering it's impact on society.  Arresting people for plants should not be accepted by society imo  :nonono:

Well, technically, the nearly everything internet is part of "the media". So, yes - I do believe the media will play a part in subverting the drug war.

Now, if you mean mainstream network and cable television news... they're not going to support anything too controversial until its obvious that enough people want the change to occur. Otherwise, they seem to have no real interest in exploring or facilitating any worthwhile debates about prohibition. These news stations and political-pundit programs are concerned with ratings and keeping their fan-base. If the case were otherwise I'm pretty sure there would've been some kind of pundit flame-war regarding all the raids that have occurred since Obama said he would leave dispensaries alone so long as they comply with state law.
