So correct me if I'm wrong. You got a print from this^ mushroom, you didn't clean it up on agar, but instead, went straight from the print to your brf jars? I know this is possible, but unlikely. Either you're bullshiting us, or you have a magical horseshoe shoved up your ass. Perhaps I'm just wasting my time with all this sterile technique.

82 seems a bit hot for fruiting, don't you think? It leads to long hollow stems.

correct. no bullshit. i transported it home in tupperware. straight from wild print on foil to syringe, to jars.

some more pics: 13 days after inoculation.

is picture #6 showing signs of contamination at the top or is that just an area that hasn't seen mycelium growth yet? i'm thinking the latter.
also, i've been noticing some condensation inside the jars. is this normal and will it cause a problem?
any and all input is appreciated. thanks in advance.

That spot seems a little suspicious, can you get a closer picture of it?

Usually not a good sign when the mycelium colonizes around an area like that. Might be a bacterial contamination. I'd toss it just to be safe. Other jars look good though.

if it does indeed happen to be contamination the chances of it spreading to the other colonized jars is pretty slim. am i correct in assuming this? because if so i'll just let it go for a couple days to see if the spot colonizes or not. actually, im just going to move it away from the other jars and keep an eye on it for the next couple days unless we are sure it is indeed contamination.
thanks enigmatic.

thanks man. even if it is, it is only 1 jar. considering the fact that they were knocked up with a wild print, ill take it. we shall see what happens.

updated fc pics:

added a good amount more holes as well as some on the bottom. i figure i'll run a small fan on top of the fc hitting the light. hopefully this will bring temperatures down slightly and increase FAE.

Mist with cold water and it will help with the FC. It drops my FC temp at least 5-6 degrees on a hot day. A fan hitting the light would fan the hot air around it into the FC (it will be hotter than the room temp). I would put a fan near a wall away from the FC to create a draft. The temp isn't something you can fix unless you go to Sears and get an AC and return it within 90 days (they have a 90 day return policy for that kind of stuff).
Either way, looking good brother. All the best on your sacred grow. :-)

thanks man. i was actually thinking about that with the fan. i'll keep it further away creating more of a draft to help cool things down as well as providing FAE.
another thing i forgot to mention.
i have plenty of prints. if anyone would like to take a stab at one or two, let me know. i'm not going to send out a mass amount of them but a select few of you i know might get lucky. i'd also like to see someone go straight from print to syringe to jar, so that my magical horseshoe filled ass is believed.

One other thing that you could do which is a bit annoying but effective for those hot hot days is to get a big towel, soak it in COLD water and put it next to the FC. You can spray some hydrogen peroxide if you feel contam risks are high. Ice blocks work as well. 82 isn't that bad but keep it below 85. I felt really bad vibes when I got near 85 from the mushrooms.
Good luck again and thanks for listening to the advices people offer. :-)

sounds good. i think with 2 fans circulating the air and 1 or 2 decent mists everyday along with fanning, i should be able to keep the temps below 80. i will definitely try my best to keep it under 85 for sure. thanks again for the advice man.

it's not completely covered yet, but at this rate should be by tomorrow.
