Test your ID skills...C'mon TI's...spore print pic

Habitat: disturbed habitat, construction site central florida
Gills: pores
Stem: thick and chunky
Cap: see pics
Bruising: see the pic I point out 2 finger prints on
Other information: farinaceous - smells like cucumber
see the brownish color bruising on the right side of this larger one closest to camera...
Check out this pimp ass ride I saw on I-4 on Saturday morning. shit

I don't expect to get an ID however one would be nice. I took the time to use my nice Nikon camera. My friend grabbed them for me today from a construction site in Central Florida. We have not had rain in a while. I think it is a Boletus sp. my first guess; or a Sullius sp. my second guess.
Anybody?
Thanks in advance..,,,
just a test; not a big deal
peace

They are still fresh, I could slice em in half or provide any more info if neeeded and I'm doing a spore print now.
I don't know what kind of tress they were around, if any.
I don't know the "rules of thumb" if there are any for these pored types of shrooms.
I'm not in a hurry to do anything with em...this is just s test, just a test

I appreciate your answer. How confident are you? What did you use to narrow that down?

Wait for a certified id, but about 95% sure that is a slippery jack or Suillus luteus.
They are a gourmet mushroom. I have seen them selling for up to $40 a kg at gourmet markets / stores!
Wack them on a pizza / have them in a pasta with some lemon and goats cheese, cook them up in some butter with salt and pepper. MMMM.

I'm in Australia by the way. Not sure how much they sell for in the US of A!

After looking at the info Bobzimmer posted. I have no mutha-effin clue.
Hmmm
Why is this? Spore print is in progress though.
So curious though.
Thanks for the replies arry'1.

This is the cinnamon/yellowish/brownish colored spore print that I got from letting it sit over night under a plate on a piece of white copy paper.
I am printing another one today and can take pics under better light with my better camera tonight if need be.
Does it help narrow it down any more?

Thanks in advance!

Xerocomus or boletus species. Doesn't look like suillus to me: no annulus and not a particularly slippery/slimy cap. Good luck getting an ID tag on that; it's going to be difficult without microscopy.

I agree they do not look like Slippery Jacks I have found. $40 a kg for slippery jacks? Arrgh man I used to find them by the thousands in New Zealand, and at the time someone told me they were poor/bad "edibles", I never even tried one. What the fuck is up with that?

It's a Xerocomus species. I'd eat it for sure.

Hmm, you sound very confident with that.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to cook and try a small piece?
It smells farinaceous like a cucumber, pleasant.

Oh yeah If I had found that, I would be buying a chunk of Parmesan for a nice mushroom risotto right now.
