waterlogged oysters
    #14498605 - 05/23/11 11:37 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

found growing on birch in new england in the last few days...tried to cook off the water and they just turned into this weird woody/nutty flavored moosh, gross...but still worth trying

good find man. I think that they are still good to eat as long as you dehydrate them. Are they growing out of a living tree? The only ones that I have found grow on snags and fallen trees.

What you can do I have been told is cut and place pieces of oysters to propagate

Would not eat mushy ones...
