You're good to go. My grow area is right next to the shitter. Probably not the best spot, but the grow area doesn't need to be sterile.

Mine is right next to my shitter as well, I dont know why people freak out so much about contams. Cakes seem to be nearly indestructible at times.

Its not so much cakes as it is colonizing monos or second and third flush trays that are more prone to open contams.Mine do fine though like 8 feet away from the bathroom

Its common to routinly get three or four flushes,Ive gotten 6 flushes off of one tray before it finally wasn't worth the effort or space.
It hard for me to answer which is easier to spot contams in because I know what I'm looking at,I would think its easier to spot contams on a open air cake before one thats behind the sometimes blurry glass of a jar

lol why does everyone keep their grows near the shitter?
Don't worry about your grow area. Its more about your sterile procedure during substrate prep, syringe prep, injecttion ect. dont let temps go over 82 *F.
doesnt matter if it gets air from outside. once stuff is fruiting the myc has takem hold and wont really contam.
