Killing plants Did they arrest you for murder based on the fact that you had the dead and dried remnants of some plants with you?

I got charged with underage alc, open contaner, open fire, killing plants, and controlled substance (2g of pot 3g of shrooms)
my other friends only got charged with controlled sub, and underage alc.
what will happen to me? What should I do to look good in the eyes of the court? Should I start doing community service now? Am I going to jail?
I did not get arrested btw, although, my rights were read to me.
Do you have a previous record?
You must have cooperated with them, seeing as they didn't arrest you. I'd say you'll just get probation, but I am no lawyer.
Sucks.

I got caught my a park ranger once. He caught me and my friend smoking on a back path. He said he knew what we were doing and we were in trouble. My friend, the little bitch, froze up and looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
I told him we werent doing anything.
He said he could smell it.
I said, nope, your wrong, we are just hiking.
He asked me to give me the pop bottle out of my coat(we were smoking out of it)
I told him that it was mine and I intended to keep it
He said he was going to call the police immmediatly
I told him we were just leaving and proceeded to walk away
He shouted, you know, driving under the the influence is illegal!!
I said yea I know, but we arent driving!
So we went down to the river, hiked around, got rid of everything, and drove out of there! I felt like a champion that day.

U sure that was a park ranger, cuz around here they carry guns. I know one are two that are seriously dick nazi's. U'd never walk away, you'd likely be tazed and cuffed if u did.
As to the OP, WTF is the destruction of plants charge, you collecting wood?
How did they find ur mushrooms and weed. I can understand the alc being found. 30 packs are not discreet, but the fungi and herb could've been stashed.

I've never been hassled for drugs or alcohol by the game warden/forest rangers around here. Generally though, you don't go to drive-in campgrounds to do your partying and drugs, that's just asking to get in trouble.
The next time you go camping, find a dirt jeep trail and follow it back in a ways, somewhere people aren't going to go check up at. Those drive-in camps are visited at least twice a day by rangers (in the morning and in the evening), and it's definitely not unheard of them tramping onto your campground during the day or even evening hours to 'see what's going on.' It's worse when you get to those privately managed spots. We had a gathering at one, and some old grumpy fart came out bitching at us about making noise in the middle of the night (despite the fact that we were the only people camping, he was an on-site manager).
People are dumb. It's best to set camps up away from where they may be.

Lol the nerve of some police-authority like figure citing someone for "Destruction of plants".
How hypocritical.

It happens all the time. It's illegal to collect firewood in national (and most state) forests, they have postings on multiple signs as you enter, most even have a logpile you have to 'purchase' wood from. I still collect firewood anyway, you just have to be a little more discreet about it. Don't go cutting anything down, or breaking branches off trees. Find scrapwoods lying on the ground and you're less likely to be hassled. If a forest ranger hears snapping branches he's gonna be out there checking it out.

That depends, I have seen some fucked up things at camp sites. Trees all hacked up just for the fun of it slowly dieing. Not a pretty site.

That's why it's illegal in national forests and most state forests. That's when a bunch of kids who are drunk come in, and want a bigger fire, and start hacking the trees around them. That's why they aren't too keen of groups of teenagers who are partying and will more likely harass you over a group of 3 or 4 people quietly chilling at a campground.
