Big Let Down

My friend and I decided since he's moving away to have a goodbye shroom journey. Grew some GT on BRF with some success. Went to the shroomery dosage calculator for a level 3 trip and we both took about slightly less than 3 grams. He chewed his up, I chopped mine up and swallowed them in a glass of cranberry juice.
45 mins later I was starting to feel the come up as we walked along a big river (big city). I felt some body load, my feet felt weird, I was sweating and I was feeling the rivers undulation. My friend wasn't feeling anything. As we continued walking I was noticing very slight interesting changes in my thoughts and how I perceived conceptual stuff. Like "That tree is upside down" or "That tree looks like it has alien hands" but maybe another hour later I was no longer feeling that way. My friend was hardly feeling weird at all. We walked around, played some mini-golf and walked some more. 4 hours after ingestion we decided it was a wash and got something to eat. At the restaurant my friends pupils got big and he swooned for maybe a couple of minutes and then he was fine.
We were slightly disappointed in the experience. The last time he took shrooms was like 10 years ago and he definitely had a level 4 trip. Like full time distortion and the rest. I had been concerned that being on Zoloft might tamp down my experience but I actually got more out of this trip than he did. I guess the lesson learned was to always do more than recommended?
Sadly we don't have time to try another run at it. He's moving in a week or so.
Now I need a new psychonaut to finish the rest of this batch off.

You're the 2nd person to say that. I don't really have a lot of choice because of my living conditions. Too close quarters to be doing anything larger than jars, really. I have to say the fruits were kind of small. But I've grown BRF cakes a long time ago that made fruits that kicked our asses.
I guess my next plan is to try an outgrow kit with my remaining syringes... I guess we'll see...

i would recommend that you stick with the BRF cakes, but use a different syringe/strain. BRF does not cause shrooms to be less potent! but potency can vary quite a bit with ms genetics.
either way, i suspect the zoloft is the reason why you didn't trip. ssri's usually do that! i'm not sure about your friend though did you ask him if he takes medications as well?

No, my friend isn't on any anxiety/depression meds. He takes blood pressure meds but that shouldn't have affected it to my knowledge. He was on those the last time he tripped (ages ago) and he was at a level 4 trip. As for me my zoloft Rx is the lowest you can do. Anecdotal evidence (from here and other boards) say that if you up the dose you should be okay. Maybe less intense for some but not totally zero'd out. So thats what I got for the most part. I should have taken more. Don't know what his deal was.

Some people are often a little more sensitive to the effects of these drugs than others, nothing to worry about or over think.
