Blank Mind
    #14497661 - 05/23/11 04:54 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I had shroom trip just a few days ago... and unlike almost all of my previous trips, almost 90% of this one was made of 'emptyness'. Now Im not saying this empty state of mind is product of shrooms, cuz im in this state for a while now.. like month or two. I can define it as almost total dedication to a moment, without thoughts about past or future, ego garbage of analyzing and evaluations of this and that.

Im observing myself skipping trough these forums, reading some of the threads, without a hint of interest. The kind of interest of ego, where you have a need to say something or judgde words of other people.. testing your belifes and belifes of other people, or even engaging in a simple discussion.

Its like its all clear and understandable. There is no need for words, cuz they would not change or expand anything. There is no apathy, cuz I feel loving and compassionate...

So while the ego is struggling taking the last breaths.. im wondering wtf is this, what is going on? Either way I feel fine, and I do not object, but Im just wondering, do any of you people experience anything like this.. or similar.. or..

Detachment is a pleasant and healing mind state.

It won't last. Enjoy it.

I believe you are right. Somehow, I prefer this state, to the one of constant ego struggle. Are you saying this based on your experience?

Apart from something like surfing forums, what happens if you do something that is difficult or which you don't like to do - or that you used to not like? No struggling thoughts or reaction? If so then you have achieved a great freedom to act.

Nope. Now I dont find any activity boring or difficult.. and there is no activity that Im not willing to do. But it seems like the universe is testing my new found resolve. More and more now, I find my self in situations, which I would avoid at all costs, some time back. Its interesting though.

just a minute ago i got done schooling this noob in some chess after he called me a noob.
i was spanking him so hard , he offered me a draw at the end with no more than two rooks left and a few useless pawns.
After i rejected it , he left.

Didn't even finish the game like a man.

Said he wasn't playing serious because he was writing something on some spirituality forum

Am i saying based on my experience that the state of detachment is the only thing that lasts? Yes! Although im not referring to detachment as something a human being can do, im not even referring to detachment as a 'thing' really, im saying that that state of pure detachment is a state of permanent detachment/let go, so it's not to be gained or lost in any way but only seen as ones Self.

Nicely said. You know what's going on; it's just too much for your mind to handle. That's why when we have these sacred psychedelic experiences, these powerful medicines integrate us with an energy unlike any other in the physical. One where the mind is running into self-imposed limitations or the emptiness of thought brings about the fulfillment of heart.

Psychedelic experiences did much in my spiritual quest, but as I said, this state that I am in was not a direct effect of shroom trip. My opinion is that drugs can actually spoil this state. So now im also in a state of not taking anything cuz really I see no purpose anymore. Also I believe that this state of detachment can be achieved trough some other means.. like meditation and sheer willpower.

Sure, but had it not been for these medicines, would you have been aware of these things in the time that it took you?

Detachment is the ultimate therapy. Cause most struggles in life are just being emotionally attached to something external.

What of time? I dont consider it to be relevant that much. No matter how much time it takes, one will arrive to certain point. But is that point, the point one strives for? Or is that point something else?
I cannot say. To know that I would first had to know what is destiny. Is it something I create as I live my life, or is it something predetermined.
Whatever the case, medicines they are. To either use them or not is a matter of time, in this case. Some wounds will heal, no matter if we place bandages on them or not. So to me.. its the end of the road that matters now. Although im not saying that journey is irrelevant.

Lately I have found myself in this state more often then not. My favorite part about it though is the state it leads me too which is a state of pure bliss. Although I am not able to bring about this bliss it has come on more frequently.

I find for myself that when the mind is calm, the ego at bay, I can tune into the moment. When I just observe, eyes open or not, a feeling comes that I cannot really describe. It's as if love, beauty, and the calm all mix together; sometimes so intense I literally have to scream.

IMO to each his own. The paths we take have an infinite amount of possibility, while no path is the same, the end result always seems to be one. I believe for some "the medicines" help to achieve the goal, while the same goal is achieved for others without them. Time and space are irrelevant, it is when they fall into one another that the oneness may be observed.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us all. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Yah I really enjoy being in that state, very relaxing, almost a constant state of bliss for me. I did it just gives you time to enjoy the moment, enjoy the world for what it truly holds.
