My heart always feels sad when I see/hear/read stuff like this.
Just last night I was watching this show on discovery about Tornado's of 2011, and this chick was video taping in her car when it got picked up for 15 seconds... her screams were haunting. I could hear the terror. I can only imagine what those people went through.

living in Ky the thunder last night was like none I have ever heard. Rapid fire, and almost rhythmic there were the longest sustained rumbles I have ever heard.
This is certainly shaping up to be an unusual storm season.

We had a wild lightening storm last night here in Indiana.
I can't believe how many people are dieing from twisters this year.

I saw that same show. One thing that really surprised me was that that one storm system generated four EF 5 tornadoes... And the US typically only sees one EF 5 per year, usually somewhere out in the Great Plains that isn't very populated. All those EF 5's in that storm hit very populated area.
Weird storm season this year indeed.

here's what i think its happening, global warming->global cooling->global freezing and all those fluctuations in temp are causing all the tornado's and floods. You look at all these floods everywhere, what happens if alot of places end up flooded around the time winter hits could be start of another ice age. Right now it looks like our warm weather seasons are getting shorter, and our cold seasons are getting longer. I mean we had snow like 20 days ago shit is just crazy. The floods themselves are going to cause cooling too. I imagine if we hadn't chopped down like half the tree's in the states we wouldn't be having as much trouble with flooding.
On the flip side i kinda of like it all rainy like this, cool breeze birds chirping it feels a bit like a jungle. I wonder if this is actually "normal" weather we just haven't had it for a really really long time. We haven't got hit with any major floods yet but were starting to get some standing water last few days so i could grow to hate this weather rather quickly. The good news is im sure the tree's are loving this, well besides the tornados

Even I don't find that amusing.
Tornados are to watch but if you get caught in one.

every 2000 years our government crawls into a hole to hide as hell(earth) freezes over. See now it makes sense where all those crazy things like Stonehenge come from

It really does seem like the weather is getting progressively worse, and it seems a lot more sporadic in terms of temperatures for seasons and precipitation and whatnot.
If it keeps at this pace, imagine how fucked up the seasons would be in 10 years or so. Warm seasons would be around December, and it would snow until July or August.
