I feel the same way when I have to put back HK stuff at work. I need to find another job, this shit it just too much
I hear ya. I'm waiting to see what's going to happen (which I doubt will be anything good) and then I plan to start looking for something else.
Anything interesting or exciting happen lately up that way?
When this all started my manager told me she wanted me to apply for the Office Specialist position (counting money in the morning) then when I interviewed for it, she said she didn't think it would be a good fit for me because I need to be on time, and I had been late like 2 days before.
So she put one of the new people in that position. Now that women is threatening to quit if she has to stay in the office.
Guess who approached me the other day about reapplying for the position?
I can't deal with this crap. Michaels is a great place to be a customer.

Hey Ellen I was just reading that thread you made about gender-blindness/pansexuality and I thought I had responded in it O.o
so are you sexually attracted to people or is it more of an emotional, empathic, compassionate attraction?
If that wasn't clear... Is it the physical features of both genders that attract you, turn you on? (hope that isn't too personal, you don't have to answer)
Or is it ones personality and traits that make you love them despite gender or sexual activity?
If it's the latter then I can relate, if it's the first then I guess i'm just atypical or something

I totally had a huge rant typed up just now but then I realized nobody probably wants to hear me bitching about my job. Not to mention I tend to rant when I'm high anyway
I agree though. They love customers and treat their employees like thieves. Where do you think you'll apply?

I dunno, I don't want to make a lateral move so I want to avoid retail if at all possible. And as much as it sucks, it's a steady paycheck until I do find something else.

Yeah..that's how I feel too. All retail sucks, but I'm stuck here for now
I'm still holding out for my dispensary idea though

The customers are stupid and they get away with it.
Example. There are two shelves with 3 different styles of scrapbooks. Each one has a white price tag in front of it that very clearly says 14.99. 1 of these book has a red and yellow clearance tag positioned infront of it for 6.99.
Does that mean that (a) each scrapbook has an individual price tag and only 1 is 6.99 OR (b) there were tags every where saying that all scrapbooks are 6.99.
If you chose a, you are a smart person and clearly do not shop at Michaels.
Try explaining to a customer that the price tag is only for the item it's in front of. If the customer pitches a fit long enough, they will ALWAYS win. sparing purchases involving gift cards.
I've given away stuff not on sale for up to 90% off because my manager told me to take care of the customer.
