awesome. ive been eating and dehydrating ton of ramps... ive been experimenting with taking one leaf from each plant to see if the stressing increases it to go to seed and proliferate. not sure if it will work but it seems as far as wild food they are a rare and pretty fragile resource.

they sure go great with morels though!!:crazy2:

Just noticed you've got your Cryptoporus volvata, which is new to me, on MO, and had a browse.  What a bloody cool mushroom!  (Mykoweb has a cool dissection.)

Yeah, they're cool, Joie. I had one with the pink spores coming out. Didn't think to get a shot though.

Nice Jack in the Pulpit pics!  And from the landscape shot, it looks like we had very similar weather today!

Thanks! Get ready for more rain. It's getting warmer though. Any ovoid sightings in NWPA?

I just sauted most of them in olive oil. Eat some now; save some for stuffing.

No ovoids, Bob.  In the couple years I've been hunting, I've never found them in my area.  Of course I have never gone looking for that species in particular, so maybe I'm just not trying hard enough.
