Anyone know of a good online diversification tool/analysis site?
    #14421395 - 05/08/11 07:45 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I've been searching and searching. I keep track of all of my investments in Excel, as it's the easiest way for me to track things and see where things are etc. At one point I used Quicken online but got annoyed with it not being intelligent enough to 'DRIP' or having to make ten entries to reconcile a buy or sell, etc. I have google's portfolio a shot but got frustrated when it couldn't pull simple tickers like 'F' and 'C'. So, it stays excel for now.

Also, I tried Mint.com as well and it could never sync up with most of the accounts, rendering it totally worthless.

Anyways, I basically want to take a look at my exposure, since I have a lot of ETF's and want to make sure I'm keeping to my original risk profile. At one point there was a great site that all you did was enter in the ticker and the number of shares. I since can not find the site...

Every other site is either limited to a dozen or so positions (I have 44 including cash) or it wants me to enter in purchase dates, etc (which I don't care about tax implications or returns, I know all of that stuff already). Also, everything is in several different accounts (my name, spouse's name, ROTH'S, direct investments, etc) so just looking at every account online with the broker doesn't show the full picture.

As our positions and portfolio's grow it's becoming more and more frustrating. Any help would be awesome!

Seriously, no one has any suggestions? How are you all balancing your portfolios?

You're definitely going to want to check out http://www.yodlee.com/
More specifically, their MoneyCenter program.

They sync up with all of your financial accounts and consolidate the information automatically.  It requires a measure of faith since you would be providing login credentials for all your accounts, but one of my extremely tech savvy programmer friends has used it for a while and swears by it.  I haven't gotten around to using it myself, because I still get by with my manual excel records.  However, I did just sign up for an account to see what all the hub-bub is aboot!
