Would you care to answer my question? How was my comment like that of a stereotypical sheep?

I'm not too worried, shit like this pops up all the time. I could spend every day of my life being worried about big brother. But that would be a waste of my life, wouldn't it?

There's no need to worry until something that Big Brother does actually causes your quality of life to decline..I personally can't imagine how Big Brother's usage of facial recognition technology could cause my quality of life to decline. If anything, it'll help remove dangerous criminals from the street.

It's the definition of dangerous criminal that is troubling. Besides, if you were a fugitive from say, a drug charge, youd be pretty fucking nervous about that webacm you didnt even know was attached to the lid of your laptop.

IMO, a dangerous criminal is one who is a danger to the safety of others.

Yeah, but I'm not..it's kind of paranoid to believe that the government is going to secretly place webcams on people's private computers and use facial recognition software to catch them committing crimes red-handed.

I don't think policing is the right word. But, if your webcam could identify you easily and the 'authorities' knew how to wait for you, you'd pop up. A quick example; I was just looking around for glass cylinders I could use in a project (inserting gerbils in to my rectum). I thought about a glass baster, so I hit amazon. Have a look at the bottom where it says people who bought this also bought this. I'm sure you can pick out what most people who bought this were up to.

Really? You think the government is going to spend its time/money/resources on spying on your privacy just for the hell of it? This technology is most likely going to be used to assist law-enforcement in catching criminals, it's very doubtful that it's going to be used to spy on innocent people's lives.

I still don't know WTF you're talking about..you're saying that cops will spy on us using our own webcams?

Alright, then why bitch about facial recognition software itself? What you should be bitching about are the laws that you feel are oppressive..facial recognition software can't be blamed for your ass going to jail for possession.

Double-edged policies and technology are implemented incrementally expressly for people like you who have no sense of principle, no foresight (or sight), and no sense of the pot their sitting in slowly being brought to boil.
Your quality of life hasn't been affected yet, but maybe it will be affected soon, when all of those said policies which remained under-utilized are put into operation to make you a slave to the state.
Just sayin'... Berlin was a pretty culturally and economically rich city before the shit hit the fan too. We don't even have that luxury. We've got a depression and an Olive Garden.

Nah, I'm not too worried about becoming a slave to the state, considering that the state is going to give me free money for the rest of my life.

I've got an MMJ prescription, free government money, a subsidized apartment, and free food. For life.
So yeah, I have nothing to worry about, which is largely why I do not spew out a bunch of nonsensical schizophrenic tin-foilery.
